This has confused me a little: (from players' book)

"Getting Skills: A character gets a base allotment of 2, 4, 6, or 8
skill points for each new level, depending on the class to which that
level was added. If the character gaining his or her 1st character
level overall (that is, gaining his or her first level in any class), add
his or her Intelligence modifier to the base skill point allotment for
the class and multiply the total by four; then add an extra 4 points of
the character is human."

So, (6+1)x4? I must be misreading this, right? There's not even that many skills available to rangers.
Or is it 6 + (INT mod. x4)? Thus, in my case, 6+(1x4), for a total of 10 skills?

Ah OK I misunderstood how buying the skills works. I was sitting here writing down skills when my brow furrowed as I realised something was amiss. NOW I HAVE TO CUT DOWN THE LIST, SIGH.
Are you guys putting much time into your fluff? Also on the character sheets, what does the check box marked CC next to skills stand for? Character Class or summat?

I understand why they might be annoyed from the point of view of time invested in a character. That's the only thing I'm disappointed about, but no use crying over spilt milk (for me, as I was less invested). I might be more invested in my next char now that I have a better grasp of what I'm actually doing.

Didn't have time in the end to whip up a rogue or druid so I started out with a Jord clone and wound up changing pretty much everything bar his gear and one or two minor details. Hope this'll offer some more DPS for us!

Summary: The Misadventures of Karl Holz (as modded by GIF)
Karl finds himself in the Lunagard Manor in the wake of having saved Michelle Song. He decides to explore the manor, and discovers that Julia has secretly been cloning Aaron the Butler! She allows one clone to do his butler-ly duties whilst the other is kept confined in the kitchen. Alternatively, they may have been brothers named Aaron and Darren, but that's stupid.
Karl becomes paranoid, getting the sense that the multiple Aarons are watching his every move, their motives questionable... He insults their mother and is forced into combat. Karl shoots first, but none of his arrows manage to penetrate Aaron's armour. In retaliation, Aaron calls down a meteor strike, glancing Karl and tearing down an entire wing of the house in the process.
Once again Karl shoots at Aaron, failing to hit him. Aaron draws a longbow of his own and fires at Karl. Karl manages to use the "Will of the Gods" to receive a temporary buff from Ehlonna, allowing him to use her ability scores (they're all 420) for x rounds. This happens not a moment too soon, and he successfully dodges Aaron's volley.
At this point, Michelle and the Head Butler are posing a serious threat to Karl, so he lets loose a volley hitting Aaron, Michelle, and old man Butler. The hit on Aaron causes a crit, blowing up the remainder of the manor. Karl deftly avoids falling masonry, but no one else survives. He then loots 15,000,000 gold pieces from the ruins.
Returning to the south beach, Karl attempts to swim to Las Verisa, but the gold weighs him down and he begins to drown. Thinking fast, he dimdoors to the shore. The near-death experience makes him very remorseful for his actions, he attempts to take his own life by shooting directly into the air above himself. The arrows arc up into the sky...

...and strike a gnome wizard, namely No, who happens to be flying by. No drops to the ground, lifeless as a sack of potatoes. Karl summons the free roaming anaconda, and rides it up stream to inform the others of his atrocities. Once again, he attempts to shoot himself, only to discover he has no arrows left. Thinking fast, he loads Lorelei onto his bow and launches her skyward. Ehlonna looks on, impressed by her champion. Lorelei plummets back towards the earth, striking Karl directly. The damage dealt to the pair is so severe that they implode, tearing a hole in the very fabric of the universe. The rest of the party, until now watching in abject horror, are sucked into the black hole as they all fail their reflex checks. The island and the entire world soon follow. There are no survivors.

The party then join the gods in their massive celestial sesh for the rest of eternity.

FOOTNOTE: This actually happened, read the chat log. Totally not canon, though.

Honestly I have no idea. I think yer woman with Obob was maybe one of those witches, and also possibly that ferromancer (who we still need to f- up) and they are hiding in the ruins. Lunagards are gonna get r=e^kt by the witches possibly, but they're pretty strong so should be helpful if there's a big ol fight.
Lots of fighting, and drama 'twixt our characters. It's gonna be awesome at any rate!
