He was infected N1, caught as infected N2, and cured on N3. He continued pretending to be infected on D4 to try and bait scum into a lie and presumably to keep me hidden but we were dropping so many hints that Auro and Davesaz both picked up on what was going on.

Yes, I realize that. As I understand it, OG Scum Infect, and Infected just have to play to their win con and try and lynch Town. I see no where stated at all that Infected must Infect other people. That's something that isn't established, demonstrated, or proven anywhere AFAIK.

Okay, this is what I was looking for. I am starting to buy Alch as Town.

This post makes Nahdia look a lot better as well. And given that, Nero looks a lot worse.

I'll admit this isn't the proper case I had envisioned, but all of these posts are sketchy to me.
See, there's a bunch of fluff and memery, which is to be expected early on, and honestly made this a much more enjoyable read. But the line between the jokes and serious play gets blurry fast, and he does a really good job of seeming confident, borderline cocky even, while also not taking many hard stances and feeling out where the general consensus is, and nearly all of his defenses come with a cheeky "unless I'm actually scum" WIFOM, which reads to me like trying to deflect arguments pre-emptively.

I also think that he started off scummy, and got progressively less scummy over time, which worries me because of the frequent posts about how Infected deaths are better than Mafia deaths, and that Infected should be jesters, etc. I expect him to be most strongly pushing a bus lynch on an infected player today, and then 7:8 => 6:8 ratio after lynch, 7:7 after factional infect, and that's parity. And also why if it can be at all helped we should absolutely NOT lynch an infected player today.

It's rare that I appreciate a case on me - usually I feel like people just take a random selection of the 1000+ posts I have and bend over their backs to fit some dumb scumgenda that makes little sense!

My play has been lazy. I do find it a struggle to "get into it" regularly in Large Themes (viewtopic.php?f=3&t=82907, viewtopic.php?f=56&t=81907) and I also believe that pushing more aggro than I would at times can obtain great reads.

I stand by my mechanical thoughts about Infected. At least at that point in the game it was a win-win. The

only

benefit to scum would be that they're spared for the day; but otherwise it's just more difficult for them because they need one more phase to reach parity.

It's a little odd I feel that you lay out a certain agenda to me, but don't reconcile it with my actual play and pushes today? If anything I have been very against lynching infected today.

You're right on this, I had this feeling during my reading at Night, I haven't updated that based on toDay.
In addition to the current situation with Alchemist/pisskop, I'm gonna need to re-evaluate some things.

Okay, maybe Nero is Town and is just making sense about Gobble.

If that's the case then the Town in this game are: LQ, dave, Nero, Oka, Rat, would be category 1 TRs.

Then category 2 (just because they haven't posted yet) would be Cheeky.

Category 3 is a lot more ambiguous. I would put the remaining Town in: FL/Alch/Auro/FB/Gobble.

That's what I am going off just looking at the D4 VC and off the top of my head what my reads are.

I would lynch anyone else D5.

I'd say the people I would call Town on the A50 wagon are: Oka, Cheeky, Gobble. Everyone else I could see as Scum.

The people I would call Town on the Hactoc wagon are: dave, TSE, FL (at that point in the game, but FL could have been infected).

Update on this.

I think Town are in: LQ, Alch, dave, Rat, Oka, Cheeky, Auro (pending), Piss (bemoaned to me).

Who I would lynch in order of priority:

Hactoc (pending)

FL could be Town and giving legit info, or he could be infected. Neither would surprise me. If FL is Town, I'd like to see what he has to say about Auro.

You'll notice I left Nero off the list. That is because I could see him going either way, but right now I am seeing him as Scum. If I go on this leaning, I would put him right after FL.

If I am wrong about my TRs, Alch probably got infected and Auro is Scum.

Take that tentatively.
