But instead ill just say. I don't think your walls are a great amount of content and not to shit on your guys effort. But you two are just in react/defense mode not pursue/investigation mode. So my criticism of the hypocritical nature of the post about how "scum need to get moving because we aren't gonna play the game for them" is kind of to the point of ur doing the exact same thing scum are doing, and expecting scum to play differently while giving the scum no reason to actually play better.

Like really. Scum incentive is never to produce content to help town solve. So why are you shifting the burden on the scum to help us figure the game out/push game forward.

That's not what I interpret what's going on, but I see your perspective nonetheless. I don't think defense is what I wanted to gain when making those statements, but an air of frustration was let out because I think scum are playing a very boring game. This does not thrill me to try and put into the more proactive effort because they are only sitting on their laurels and all I have is complaints. We(?) would like to keep to our format but I fail to see to see where you think it isn't conductive,

because there are quite a few things directed to people that we expected answers.

We're now here and people are wondering what we've been doing. It's pretty much been a waiting game on a multitude of things. I see the response BM made to your post (not mine) which just makes me think 'here we go again.' Do I need to be more blunt? Less? Either way at what level do you disagree with what I've said and not at the pace of which it has been spoken. That's what interests me and incites me, because I don't play this game from a self-absorbed level where I think I'm always right and my words are written in stone.

Let's say you go 1.2m on the vig and you get outbid by scum. They probably won't claim it and you made them spend a lot of money which is probably good.
If they don't outbid 1.2m tho now you don't have any money and scum have plenty which means that's 1 less townie they have to outbid in the late game.

I'm not sure of how to go about organizing that in a way that scum can't do anything with it and the only thing I can really think of is to just do what I'm doing.

Right so this game has been a series of disappointments as it seems not just for us but for the playlist as a whole and their opinions of what we're doing with our attempt to play a different style. And I get it The harsh put down style like the subreddit that this game is about is not for everyone and a lot of people join this site to work on their own mental health and so if anybody actually took us seriously and was offended I am genuinely sorry for that. Is very clear to me at this point that the game will not take off but we were hoping it would by putting that kind of content into it. I personally had held out hope that nacho getting into a nice one on one with us would instead generate content that would accelerate the game and bring it out of the exceptionally long day one RVS/crap posting. That hope is now dead.

Unfortunately lately when I go full hyper posting as town I feel like the games have suffered because I'm end up monopolizing a lot of the energy and focus in the room. That said it does not seem like anyone else here wants that position anyways and the game is suffering from not having anyone herding.

My hydro partner and I have discussed this and agree that if there's any chance of salvaging this into a real game instead of just a bunch of memes that might as well have been in the speakeasy (sorry noraa) then we're going to have to pull back into our old habits and styles at least her little bit to throw some accelerant on the game. Lest it smolder out.

I also had hoped that by posting a tiered reads list that we would get some engagement on it from some of the slots that hadn't talked to us or even about us much but instead it pretty much only attracted attention from the people who are already engaged with us whether that was a positive read on us or negative read on us. I am going to be working on over the next 24 hours or so of making a full ridge list including our reasons for it because that's all we really have left.

I did see that goofball joined the game and I'm extremely happy to see her although I will be sad to see my French comrade in arms leave. Reads nonwithstanding.

I'd like to once again reiterate just in case we get shot for funzies that nacho is almost certainly scum here and we will probably move our vote there he is playing the happy social game very reminiscent of the game's mods style and he's got limited time and is always choosing to use it here because he's so happy to finally roll scum.

It is a shame that our experiment is getting called early but you have to adapt the player list and this playlist is very clearly not receptive to what we wanted to do we accept that and you're going to get the Xenoblade style cabd instead.

The wagons not only are kinda for nothing but also go up really high and lead nowhere

generally I expect our major attempts to wagon scum to be a lot less effective in a game with a low amount of content and especially when they make up more of the playerlist than usual. I suppose that is just obvious, but i mean specficially in this scenario where the wagons are all very low quality, scum can afford to pick and choose at their own leisure and probably expect to not get called out for it

voting wagons just cause is also a 'lazy' way to try and create content which i am constantly guilty of on D1 in other games too, sure. But the amount of players content to do this does make me feel like there's something special about this game which is probably just a larger amount of scum feeling comfortable. I'm going to assume the majority of the wagons so far have been ruined by apathy or lack of really anything coming from them and the big ones are probably more likely town, especially if they're void of reasoning

i agree, I think BB's stretch of posts asking for a money massclaim showed a thought process he'd be less likely to think to fake than actually have

why would they have to do math if they just spout out numbers

they have more money then us so my theory was if they invested all their money they'd literally have to redo the math to see how much money they made if they theoretically had less money

but yeah they probably just didn't invest all their extra money

In a sort of similar vein, why don't we claim what bids are made/won? As im understanding it, we essentially are guaranteed to lose to scum on the important bids since they can just have one member dump their savings into it, whereas we're both disorganized and have less money to work with.

From what im gleaning about the investing, our potential gains from investing aren't really that much (like in the tens of thousands range) so we can't bridge the gap between the 1 mil and 1.5 mil, AKA scum gets several of the good stuff for sure. We might be able to prevent this from having more stuff be public, since broke scum won't be able to fake larger bets anymore and maybe we catch people by forcing the scummiest players to make bets on the less sought after stuff which they will be unable to do if they went all-in on good stuff

Does that make any sense? And am I misunderstanding the money -- i am assuming the investment money gains are relatively small, but if the half million gap can be bridged fairly easily then maybe disregard. If it's possible but really hard I still think it'd make sense
