I think this is good. She's skated by largely on tone so far, but I feel like she's just been coming in to argue against people's scumreads of her instead of trying to find scum

This is...true. But is it really alignment indicative? I mean, as scum she should know refusing to post reads draws suspicion to her, it's such a basic thing.

Marci doesn't even have a vote on anyone. Is it really likely that there are 3 other players in a PT with her somewhere and they're not asking her to at least try and get on a wagon?

The fact that game has slowed to a crawl and there's no one angling for a different lim makes me think that scum is content with this lim.

Tightened Controls at the Polls

More rigourous antifraud regulations enacted for today.

As fears have risen about possible irregularities in the democratic process, to reassure the citizenship, a revised antifraud protocol has been proposed to, and approved by, the Overseer, and will be trialed during today's voting.

Each ballot cast today must be emitted and cerified by the city all, and must be identified by a unique alphanumeric code to be transmitted to the Central Headquarter. Moreover, the casting of each vote must be done publicly and vidimated by the appointed committee, and notice of it must likewise be transmitted to Central. The Telecommunications Division will take care to check the validity of each vote, and that there be no discrepancy with the official count.

This is, no doubt, a small inconvenience, but no doubt the entire Citizenship ought to agree that such inconvenience is worth for the good of the collectivity.
It must however be said that the protocol has a nontrivial cost to operate, and require much more work from both the internal Utopian side and the overseeing process at the Headquarters. Only enough funds to operate the protocol for a one-day trial have been allocated.

For the lim itself I'd be good with Aureal or Cakez. Devil is on my ??? list these days but I'm not feeling confident about that.

Wait what's the plan for recount tomorrow? How does it get used as a parity check if it only tells us binary y/n if there was a scum on the wagon but not how many?

It's not exactly a parity check.
Basically, no one votes except 2 people on the chosen execution wagon and we let it pass by plurality. If we get a no, they're both confirmed town, and if we get a yes, we know at least one of them is scum.
