so I'm pretty sure the game should've begun based on the number of confirmations and now I'm all like "is the fact that the game hasn't started a layer of moderator-imposed subterfuge"

I'm a real IC, but there's probably some other layer to my role that no one knows about, and speculating about that is probably pointless.

Question--are you the kind of IC that automatically gets confirmed at the beginning of the game, or did you ask the mod to announce you at that time?

I think you're full of shit. Hidden IC is exponentially more powerful than instant NK bait.
that's true; there's probably more to my role than just that, though, so who's to say I'll actually be night killed? my point is, speculation about what that more is doesn't mean much of anything.

L&L is focusing way too hard on speculating about details to the game that we can't possibly fully understand at this point, and at this point I feel like it's a deliberate effort to make everyone else not focus on scum hunting (which of relatively easy with the one week deadlines).

this is a wild goose chase and it's a waste of time that could be spent actually scumhunting. stop trying to break a game that is explicitly designed to be as difficult to break as possible and focus on actually playing it.

it's possible that shos is scum; I think it's way more likely that L&L is scum, though. we have 3 days and 6 hours to lynch someone, though, and I feel like we're making frustratingly little headway there.

...huh.

I'm just gonna put my vote on someone with no votes on them to see what happens; treat me as effectively voting L&L in terms of where I think my vote should be:

VOTE: Yume

also, for the record, to my knowledge I am not a double voter. however, it occurs to me that if someone else has an invisible vote, they could just move their vote to Yume to make it look like I do??? so basically it's possible this will produce a false positive. whatevs!!!

incidentally, I tried setting whether I could affect the quote box at the top of the vote count by defending the mod a PM with something along the lines of "can you quote this at the top of the quote box and attribute the quote to me". the fact that it didn't work is probably utterly meaningless, but hey, now everyone knows I tried.

right now I think it's way more likely that shos is town and the thing with the vote is somehow not in his control. the assumption that shos is scum and was lying doesn't make any sense, because scum would have absolutely no incentive to not be honest about that, especially once it became clear that the source of the vote would be revealed. therefore, I think it's far more likely that either wgeurts or the counsel introduced misinformation.

I wouldn't describe anything about this setup as obvious. I'm probably a double voter, but ruling out other possibilities would be a mistake here.

I'm not really a big fan of either of the wagons right now, but I guess I'd be okay with a BNL lynch, and obviously any lynch is better than no lynch, so... this is probably L-1? probably?

VOTE: BNL

I don't think anyone should hammer until we have replacements in since the deadline is extended until then.

but again what incentive could scum possibly have to make such blatant, obvious lies? I feel like it's far more plausible that farside22 had some genuine reason to believe that her dayvig claim was accurate and that The MM has some genuine reason to believe that it's not than that farside22 was lying as scum and The MM decided to just not continue with that lie. scum had incentive to lie, yes, but no one is going to make a blatantly obvious lie regardless of their alignment.

the source of the misinformation in this game is the moderator. why would any player have incentive to make an obvious, blatant lie? like, let's say farside22 received a role PM that said "you're a dayvig" and The MM received a role PM that said anything besides that—this would explain the discrepancy, but it's not a scum tell for either of them. if anything, I think scum-MM would have greater incentive to continue claiming to be a dayvig just to stand out less.

I think there's an alternate explanation for why the results of the investigation would not have gone through. I don't think it's in the town's best interest for me to immediately say why, but I have a pretty strong hunch.

BNL's explanation for not revealing the 1-shot lynchproof ability is really scummy imo. like, lynching someone every single day is hugely beneficial to town, because 1)if they're scum, that's obviously beneficial to the town, and 2)even if not, the information derived from it helps the town. by not revealing that ability, BNL actively chose to deprive the town of information.

Ircher is town. I know this because of role-related reasons. Davsto is also still town. I think it's safe for me to claim at this point if anyone is curious why. (I was hesitant to do so before, because it might make it easier for scum to kill me, but I think it's been long enough that having info out there is worthwhile.)

of course, it's possible these are both incorrect if my role didn't work the way I believe it does; however, if so, I think that's a sign that they're both scum.

this sounds fake as shit, and I'm fairly certain posts edited by other people show who edited them

I feel like the Flames682 wagon is the best one right now. regardless of setup analysis, I've felt like Ircher is town for most of this game.

quick reminder that I have reason to believe that if Ircher is scum, Davsto almost certainly is as well, and vice versa, as well as if one of them is town. I don't particularly think Ircher is scum, but this is worth keeping in mind.

I think it's plausible that the scum are really powerful or have pretty high numbers and that resurrection is intended to push the balance in the town's favor. I'm not sure whether it's likely, but it's plausible.

your vote for lilith2013 feels like you're just picking someone at random from that list, Ircher.

I've read it a couple times and I don't understand, can you clarify what you believe caused that?

I'm not really a fan of this post. I feel like these sorts of "if I'm wrong, lynch me tomorrow" statements are frequently scummy.

I eventually just stopped doing any if it and crashed for a while. This game suffered as a result, and I can not justify that.
I'm certainly up for continuing the game if that's what happens, but if this is how you're feeling, I'd seriously consider whether the emotional toll of continuing to run it is something you're up to; if you come to the conclusion that the best thing for your emotional wellbeing is to either end the game or pass it off to another moderator, I absolutely can't judge you for it, because I know exactly where you'd be coming from.
