No not really. It's a new game. Unless you're referring to this game, which without any day abilities will stay constant today. But you seem hyper-serious. I've fucked up like that before. Sometimes you're right and it tirns out, sometimes you're wrong. Bad decision. I don't like policy lynches on people day one though.

it is a policy vote for sure. midget is a liability. until something actually scummy comes along this game...that is where my vote will stay.

would you have preferred a random vote? why or why not?

I feel pretty good about RC, Collatz and Dark being town.

I also feel pretty good about Otolia and Reubus being scum.

this is a solid list. though I wonder why the Otolia vote over Reubus. (EDIT: you do end up voting him in 275) still answer the question though.

I like everything in Llama's post 240 post, but then the vote on RM..seemed.. Not sure, unexpected(?). I had to read this post several times. I get a RM policy lynch. My last (and only?) game with him, he didnt read and only won on the back of other players. but to vote him because he hasnt done anything..is meh. In that game he got a quick wagon on him because his play was so bad. He vigged a PR that had a scum result, because he was only skimming. To flirt with an insult, he is just not a good player. I dont think he actually reads games, but just likes the idea of playing them. If we had lost that game together, I would have been insanely mad. If I had paid attention myself I wouldnt have joined the game or I would have /out if I saw that he had joined it.

at any rate, this vote awesome seems..."beneath" llama? This probably does not describe the vibe I am getting. He could be a bad player as scum too, but something about this vote doesnt feel right.
In post 241, Lucky2u wrote:

Looking at your ISO, you stated you were going to put more effort and then didn't. Either your lazy, or this statement was just to get people to stop paying attention to you.

VOTE: RM

Now I am in a strange ass position of defending RM?!

This is the scummiest thing you have seen in the game thus far? Lets say he is lazy…is that scummy? Lucky have you ever played with RM before?

In post 255, LlamaFluff wrote:

Out of curiosity... for those ignoring RM are you just essentially saying "well if he is scum I am willing to just give him a free pass?" Maybe I don't have enough experience around RM, but I don't really think he is a juggernaut as town starting D2 that would justify giving him a free pass. What if he is scum? We just let him have next to no interactions and are cool with it or something?

I think he is a liability. I want to find/lynch scum? Could he be scum? yes...........

as i type this, I get what you are saying. I dont know what to do about him. ideally, I shouldnt be in this game...that is the best way to deal with it....but that is neither here nor there. I actually get BBT's point about low information (at this point). Now that people are commenting on him, there is more info then there was before, but it just doesnt feel like our best lynch option. Meh, maybe I will be eating my words…

The fact that he hasn't moved his vote from RVS without any explanation concerns me. The only real content in his ISO is acknowledgement of RMs playstyle which bothers me, which I think I may have already addressed.

I also would like to see Collatz post more, though I'm not sure that it's worth a vote

If my memory serves me right, the issue was that RM said that whoever was accusing him of not paying attention and misvigging was exaggerating the claims. I wanted to see if that was the case, as that could possibly indicate that someone was pushing a mislynch as a policy lynch.

I think you misquoted here. Ah....well, i am still standing by my statement. why have you lost interest in seeing if I exaggerated? I mean that would be a pretty significant lie right?

I am not saying I THINK you flip flopped. I am saying how I could see how someone else would think that.

"I am not a big fan of X's play"
"Why are you voting X, it is a wasted vote"

I dont think this is a big deal. That being said, I have seen scum push a bad wagon like this without actually joining it. Not saying you are doing that here (since there is no wagon) but I can see how people might be sensitive to that.

for the record, I dont like Otolia in this game (just a vibe, nothing more). but this particular arguing point is silly.

That is not what the fuck you did in the quoted. How can you not “buy it” when you were the one “selling it” before?

I am calling bullshit on this response. I will eat my hat if he flips town.

this is why I dont think Otolia is scum, or at least nothing we need to be looking at today.

posted alone is enough to lynch RS day 1.

1.) "aggressive nature of his defense" WTF?! He is aggressively defensive so he is scummy? 9 times out of 10 this is something scum says. Been around a long time...I call it like I see. Being defensive is not scummy. period.

2.) "I read over his wagon, i dont buy it". He previous said he thought he was being aggressively defensive and wasnt so sure he was town now...70 posts later, he doesnt buy a "wagon" on him. What wagon? What exactly did he read over?

3.) then when called out on it, he claims that his reads had changed.. BULLSHIT. Otolia's post didnt change. That "agressive defense" is still there. the game changed, not the post. If you thought his post was scummy, that shouldnt have changed.

his votes and comments are giving me the "i want to test the waters of a town wagon without fully committing" vibe. he is lurking just enough to stay out of the limelight.

please help me put him in the limelight. if I had to guess, with a little pressure, he would suddenly find an interest in a RM wagon.

If Randomidget is/flips scum, then very likely.

In a vacuum without RM acting scummy as well and him defending him (or whatever he wants to call his relationship with RM so that I'm not accused once again of "misrepresenting him" as I'm getting tired of that) ? Perhaps not as much. His links to RM are scummy, to me as well. His relationship with DLA less so and I don't understand what he sees in his interaction with you. Still I would take him to the gallows at this point of the game.

I started the day with a vote on RM.

I am saying right now, i am against the RM wagon.

am i scummy too (if RM flips scum)?

do you think in the face of a mounting RM wagon, BBTscum would defend RMscum so openly?

more likely than not, BBT is scum(mier) if RM flips town and you are scum(mier) if RM flips scum.

Reubus's comments (he is scummy/he is not scummy) was about you. It did not look bussy (at the time) and give the over all feel of a scum on town hate crime.

if the mafia gods gave RM a scum PR, they surely hate scum. Sure it is possible, but given the recent noise from and about RM, he isnt going to see the end of the game. If BBT is scum with RMscum, his play is fucking stupid. BBT was in that last game with RM and I and can vouch with how horrible of a player he is. A RMscum flip would be directly linked with a BBT "defense". I dont think this is the case.

it was a vibe (thus the spidey sense) no real reason I could flush out at the time. but I have learned not to ignore my gut instinct.

the reason (which you still strangely havent asked) for the vote is

at the time I couldnt quite put my finger on it. and at the time it was just one vote...but there were comments..leading comments...careful(?) comments. "I am confused by X" and "what do I gather from X's ISO?" . Like he was looking for validation. or trying to gather steam and urging people to get involved. Our village idiot did. DarkLight commented.

then he votes Col for a really bad reason and even gives himself an out ("last time I did X I was a noob")...

now throw in his stance on Oto and his twisting of positions.

I didnt know today started, I kept checking to see if I had a mail and didnt check my subscriptions (until now). anyway, will catch up tomorrow I guess.

Mod, I know you had a timer, but in future a "the game started mail" would be cool.

Why didn't you bookmark?

I did book mark, but only the main page loads. I just checked to see if I had a message, if I didnt see one, I keep on moving. The only reason I caught the game was because I went to check the timer and saw it was the Day Phase.

at any rate, no worries.

rereading a couple other exchanges, following up on a spidey tingle, rereading the votes from yesterday that lead to the lynch (the why and the when). hope to have a vote by friday.

gut..experience(?). Dont know. Just a feeling. I feel like you guys are on the same side (most likely town). That being said, there is a lot of fluffy back and forth between you two that very well could be theater....a very slight hint of not being genuine...or maybe it is being non committal. here is an example. I attack mnomic in post 529. you vote him in 531. Lucky(town) votes Ot in 536, Dark votes Ot in 549, after appearing to get no traction, you vote Ot in 550..........................................

I was going to say, you didnt seem like you were really interested in a OT wagon, until it got going (ie not really feeling what you were preaching). But now, that I have gone back to look at the recent votes, it looks more like you are opportunistic. LOL. Okay, maybe you have changed my mind...it could be SvT.

this is why I dont think about my gut instincts anymore. As soon as I do, I start thinking something else. then when all the cards are shown, I am left saying "Fuck, if I only listened to my gut".

bottom line. I dont like the Ot wagon nor do I feel like you should be a lynch candidate today.

EDIT: this post is the very definition of flip floppy. Feel free to use this in a "CKD is scum" post.

I dont see this. I read this as Ot questioning why RC has only focused on Marcell. If Ot and Marcell are scum together, this was a horrible post linking them together.

BBT, is there a chance you got a bit of the tunnel vision?

also, is this post "deflecting" from away from Ot?

this post seems like you are blowing smoke up BBT's ass. "youre town" "fair point". The latter is not a fair point. You have been around for awhile, so you should be able to note when someone might be tunneling. Did you actually read 547? Do you think that OtScum would attempt to deflect from MarcelScum in this way?

I'm going to have to disagree because I'm town and can't confirm Otolia's alignment, and I've seen scum in the same situation do similar to get a mislynch.

More and more I see CKD post I'm feeling more town on him.

I'm still conflicted on Otolia. I could see him flipping either way.

if this is not a scum post, I have never seen one. (ass kissing, joining a wagon for little reason, fence sitting, and look, he even reminded us "he is town")

something is not sitting well with me about the quoted. I am not sure what exactly. Maybe the possible set up to avoid blame. "since I have been told". Do what you want. vote who you think is scummy. If we get closer to a deadline and we need a lynch (I need to read the rules about lynching for this game) you would be expected to help lynch, but dont vote those two if you dont think they are scummy now. I dont want ANYONE able to come back and say.."well I had to vote X because I was told to"...

I also didnt like the...."I am still the fool, but my wagon disappeared and I am puzzled." I am not sure why you are puzzled or why you would say this.

if I had been a vig, I would have offed Alchemist too. I believe Col claim.

I was going to go after Alchemist today, guess that is why Scum left me alive over BBT?

going to (re)read.

this leaves

DarkLightA
Otolia
mnemonicdevice
randomidget
RedCoyote

as scum possibilities.

let me see who did what on the Marcel wagon....could it be that scum could also be MD?....that would be a sorry scum team indeed.

here is my problem with this. if as scum, you now say person X is town, and that person claims and says he is the cop, you are obviously lying.

if you wait, you can tailor your claim as you see fit.

there is no reason to NOT claim as town who you targeted. though as scum, i guess you could have waited to claim...At least say if the people you targeted are still in the game or not.

also, if I havent claimed yet...I am plain old vanilla.

I'm assuming those two are your investigations then, yes? Will you please explain to us why you decided to investigate those two players?

I'm also claiming cop
. I have two distinct breadcrumbs for this claim in my posts that I'd be happy to point out if requested.

My investigations were Marcrell on N1 and Alchemist on N2.

ugh, of course the two people you claimed to investigate are dead.

I would like to see the breadcrumbs please.

I am going to be voting random, I dont believe his claim or who he supposedly targeted.

so here is the rub, if you take all the claims (thus far) at face value. it looks like this.

(town by claim)DarkLightA: vanilla
Otolia: vanilla
curiouskarmadog: Vanilla
(town)Collatz: 1 shot vig
(town by claim)mnemonicdevice
(town)randomidget: cop
(town)Lucky2u: IC
(town)RedCoyote: cop

am I reading this right?

If this is correct, that indicates Ot and myself are scum, right? Well, I am not fucking scum...so one of the cops are lying.

there has got to be a scum proof formula for a successful town win given the following info that could test both of the cops tonight, unfortunately it will probably end with Ot or I getting the rope....going to start working on something though while waiting on MD.

Evidence for me: I was confident collatz and otolia were scum. If I got a guilty on them I could have gotten them lynched day 2, but I didn't want to claim at that point. If you look at my readlist dla was my next scumread. Notice I didn't mention him for the rest of the next day.
The MD investigation was a bad move. I guessed we would be trying to crack the game today and I wanted to confirm the alignment of the mosr scumread alive player.
@ckd I wasn't seriously voting you, that was rvs. Getting a bit desparate?
VOTE: ckd

OMG, you really are a horrible player...or scum. give me the link of what you are talking about with DLA, I dont see the post. if you really are a cop, the MD investigation wasnt bad, but given who you supposedly thought was scum and the fact you felt like I was being a dick to you, you should have investigated me, Ot, or Coll night 1. it doesnt make any sense.

that being said....I think might be town,

it all depends on the MD claim though.
---

everyone else, I think the game is solvable now. I have no time today to really work on this though...I probably wont be able to post again (anything of substance) until thursday, maybe wednesday.

on the road a lot today(ie had time to think in the car), cant really come up with a scum proof formula yet...I have some ideas, but to explain the idea would make them NOT scum proof, me thinks. Barring MD's claim, the only lynches that make since is OT and myself. Even with the above mentioned ideas, those lynches dont change (unfortunately).

going to think about it some more and maybe try to scum hunt (though again, there really should only be 2 lynch candidates today), it is tough to swallow both cop claims. I dont think randomScum could fake a claim like this by himself (yeah yeah I know, random has a team mate that might or might not be a godfather). and RCscum? find it difficult to think that RCscum would throw his roleblocker under the bus. though, he could have, I have thrown a GF under the bus before.....but...it is doubtful at this point.

if MD claims vanilla, the lynch really should be Ot or I. just seems to make sense to me. Unless "shenanigans". I will be voting Ot, the BBT kill points a finger at him. I imagine they would have killed me because I pushed so hard for the roleblocker lynch (marcel), but it was pretty obvious I would have gone after Alchemist today...which clearly would have played to their favor..

when I get some time, I will be rereading yesterday's lynch.

for the record (put on your reverse WIFOM pants) as scum, I would be saying the same thing... as scum, I would want to look as town as possible, pushing for anyone else today other than Ot and myself doesnt make sense at this point in the game.

thats all blah blah blah though.

speaking of scumhunting though..

RC
you said this AFTER you got a guilty on Marcrel

In post 762, RedCoyote wrote:I don't want to lynch DLA
until I know what Marcrell's alignment is.
It makes a big difference to me. DLA came on too strong in favor of sparing Marcrell (which I do not think gels with what he's said about him in the past).

That said, if Marcrell is town
, then DLA was probably right to try and push on the brakes.

work me through your thought process here.

by the way, I spent 30 minutes tonight, looking for your cop (to include 1 shot) and mafia games to see if you have ever breadcrumb cop as either...I havent found one yet. want to help me out? have you done it before as either?

I think I almost got a plan!!!! (of course working on the assumption MD is going to say vanilla)

I think that the remaining scum is probably Otolia (goon) and one of DLA/MD (gf). If that is the case, the plan is perfect....

right now, running the "if then than this" scenarios if one of the claimed cops are scum. I think it is doable, I am just trying to figure it out. God I wish I was smarter...and had more time. will work on it on the road.
