3 player mafia.
1 Mafioso(goon)
1 Townie
1 Super Saint(Vengeful townie. Hammah voter is killed.)
I really want to play this.

Also:
Faction mafia
2 Fanatics (win when both townies are dead). They don't know their partner
2 Townies (win when both fanatics are dead). They don't know their partner.
1 Merchant (wins when one townie and one fanatic are dead).
1 Reaper (wins when the merchant, a townie, and a faction are dead. However, he has a nightkill.)

I know this was done on wifom, but I don't know if it has been suggested here.

Axis v. Allies Mafia
America (Ally): Wins if two of Germany, Japan, and Russia fall.

Britain (Ally): Wins either if Germany and Japan fall, or if France and Germany fall and Italy survives.

France (Ally): Wins if Germany and Italy fall.

Germany (Axis): Wins if two of Britain, France, and Russia fall.

Italy (Axis): Wins either if America and Britain fall, or if Britain and Germany fall and America survives.

Japan (Axis): Wins if America and Russia fall.

Russia (Pseudo-Ally): Wins as long as Russia remains

The game is played in a "Day-Night" format, starting in Day. Each Day, the nations vote on which nation should fall. Each Night, the Axis powers each place a vote on which nation should fall, and if a nation received two votes, that nation falls. A fallen nation can still win if its win conditions are met (Russia obviously cannot win this way). The game ends when only one surviving nation has its win conditions not met. No nation knows the identity of any of the other nations.
Faction 12 Mafia:
3 Fanatics(Win if all Townspeople are dead and have a greater number of people living then the Mafia)
3 Townspeople(Same as above, except they want all Fanatics dead)
3 Mafia(Same old vanilla scumgroup, wins when everybody else is dead)
1 Cop(Wins when all Mafia are dead)
1 Merchant(Neutral Survivor who can only win with the Fanatics or Townspeople. Can also only win when 1x Townsperson, 1x Fanatic and the Cop are dead)
1 Anarchist(Roleswitcher, cannot change roles with the Mafia)

a majority
50% of the living players; if this occurs immediately after they recruit someone, the recruit loses with the town. (So the mod calls the game for the cult before the night begins)

The numbers for this are actually pretty cute if the town never no-lynches; they get two free mislynches rather than C9's one (But that's the Day 1 where they could hit the recruiter to win it all), and cult can't force an instant win by forcing a lynch of a cultist rather than the recruiter.

One cop or townie
One mafia recruiter who can recruit a player into the mafia at the start of the game.

Or:

4 Townies
One doctor
One cop

Democracy Mafia

2 Scum
10 Townies

I'm thinking of ways to balance Fiasco's color mafia. The scum can manipulate it pretty badly.

Perhaps a setup of six colors with two individuals, and the majority of colors = lynch might be better, but I doubt it would change much.

Another idea is to make everybody switch colors at night, so that Player X in red could be Player X in blue. That could hurt the scum strategy a bit.

Another option is to add a "color coordinator", that could chose a color the scum couldn't kill.

Seven Player Lyncher
:
1 Mafioso
1 Lyncher
1 Jester
4 Townies

I think the Jester adds a lot of complexity to the setup.

Another setup from the IRC library:

Texas10

2 Mafioso
5 One-Shot Vigs
2 50% One-Shot Vigs
1 0% One-Shot Vig

Not sure if that's been played here before, though.

Dethy11

2 Mafia Frame Artist
1 Mafia Godfather
2 Sane Cops
2 Paranoid Cops
2 Naive Cops
2 Insane Cops

Intersting dethy variant, in my opinion.

Vigilante Mafia

2 Goons
1 Mafia Rber
1 Vigilante
7 Townies

Blocker Mafia

3 Mafia
1 Rber
8 Townies

I'm not sure of the validity of those last two setups.

Having jesters in a game is much more fun in an open setup. Players who are jester might pretend to be scum, and vice versa. It is even more challenging for the townies, because they can't just lynch anyone who acts scummy. As a variation, the game could be nightless (with less townies then), or the jesters could know each other, as long as it is known by everyone on beforehand. In this nomination the game is not nightless and only the mafia know each other.
I'd include some sort of way to get rid of the jester/have the jester change win conditions. Being suspected as a jester sucks. It's like playing without a win condition.

Also, I'd only consider the setup with one jester.

Nominate Simenon c9 2

1 mafia recruiter who can recruit one player once at the beginning of the game.
1 cop
1 doctor
4 townies.

If the mafia recruiter recruits a townie, the townie becomes a mafia rber.

This was necessary in order to avoid breaking the setup with odds (there is a 2/3 chance of it being the original newbie setup).

When does the vig want to shoot in that setup, other than the scenario you described?

Cop c9 also has an uncounterclaimable innocent.

Any time the vig is a confirmed innocent, he's going to get a bullet in the head regardless.

Nominate Too Much Scum C9

2 Mafia that cannot nightkill
1 Serial killer
1 Serial Killer cop (cop that can only inspect the serial killer)
3 Townies

After testing in scumchat/irc, eight players might be better. I think it's a good setup, though.
I like this. A lot. How about making the quack not kill their target if their target is mafia? (This variant of the quack was used by mith at MeMeMeet, with different numbers.) Also, nightstart/daystart?
I agree that the quacks probably make it tough for the mafia if they can kill.
Night start I think is best. I think SL put it best when he called it a "dethy mutation".

What's to stop the "Cop claims D1 and we no-lynch until the Doc is found strategy"? (Please don't say C9. )
It was a spin-off of Basic 12 Mafia, which was the same setup with 12 players. We've run that a couple times I think.

And I agree, I love LML + PJ's new c9 setup and I believe we should run it (with permission) once they're done.

Nominate Random C9

A random choice from randomized list of all of the good c9s nominated here. Has to actually exist and has to be balanced.

BAM'S TRUST NO ONE
1 GF + 1 Goon
1 Cop
2 millers
2 townies

The cop is useless for night one. If one of the mafia is lynched, the cop will only get a 2/5 chance of confirming a townie. Compare with cop c9.

Reverse Kingmaker
5 Assasins
8 Townies
1 Kingmaker
1 King; However, the support of eight players must be reached to execute a player
1 Cop
1 Doc
1 Town Hero
I like this a lot, but it shouldn't be in the open queue.

Considering we haven't even modded a kingmaker as an open, why does this stand a chance of appearing in the queue?

I agree. Let's appoint a quarantine committee to remove all those IRC ideas that break conventions and bring horrible side-effects like "new ideas" to the site.

I nominate Glork and Thok to serve on it.

we should call it the Committee On the Conventionality of Kill-immunities and Stuff.
All that's left is approval from mith and C.O.C.K.S. will be back on the road.

It will be good when the C.O.C.K.S. can solve our disputes over what is acceptable and conventional.
I think the loftier purpose of C.O.C.K.S will be to determine how you can stop the spread of unconventional diseases.

I think that setup should be posted in here, flay, since it is as far from qualifying as "normal" as possible.

The SKs know who each other are. The town wins if only SKs remain. Nightless.
I modded this game on scumchat a year or so ago. It was fairly easily won by the town.

Loser Mafia is a work in progress. I'm not sure whether that argues for more testing or more discussion.

I'm not suggesting it should not be run, It is an interesting game and can be achieved.

But it requires an understanding. I had already modded 5 games before I took on Loser Mafia, and it still was a challenge for me.

Santa Claus is Coming to Town

3 Mafia Goons
1 Mafia Godfather
1 Serial Killer "Santa Claus", who at the beginning of the game gets to choose 2 of three town roles: Cop, Vig, Roleblocker. He will also be able to choose between getting investigative immunity or NK immunity.
2 of the roles above
9 Townies

It sounds complicated, but it's basically Pick Your Poison with someone else picking.

Don't Buy Hookers in Thailand

3 Mafia A Goons
3 Mafia B Goons
1 Serial Killer
8 Role Blockers

If a scum player is blocked by more than one roleblocker a night and was killing someone, the scum player instantly dies. All roleblocks on other roleblockers will fail.

Predestination Mafia

3 Mafia Goons
2 Ordered JOATs
7 Townies

Every night Ordered JOATs choose one player to investigate, one player to kill, one player to protect, and one player to roleblock. At the beginning of the game, the moderator randomly sets a list for the JOAT's night action (night one investigate night two kill etc.). On any given night, only the action on the list will go through; the rest will be blocked.
