It is a Harsh... Harsh world... One that can only be lead by beings of power. Beings that are meant to keep balance and maintain order for a fragile and dangerous place. These beings, Gods if you will, have constantly sought more power. Now the day has come...

Now who will be placed in charge?

The Rules

1.) Deadline

: The Day phase will last 3 weeks starting from the thread unlocking. When the deadline is up, the greatest majority will end up being lynched. If there is a tie, the one with the first vote gets lynched. If requested, I will extend the deadline for day.

The Night phase will have a 72 hour deadline. If the actions are not sent by that time, then it will be taken that you wanted to do nothing that night.

2.) Voting

: The vote is the most powerful tool in any mafia game, except for Tarhalindur's roles. In order to use it properly in this game, you must place vote in this format-

Vote: {insert player name}

It is not necessary to unvote to change votes but if you wish to just take your vote off then please bold as well. If you wish to no lynch, then type-

Vote: No Lynch

Vote counts will be posted daily... hopefully.

3.) Lynching and Dead People

: Once a majority has been reached (Half the living players plus one), then the thread will be locked and the lynch scene shown. There is a 24 hour twilight grace period for everyone to get there last word in.

I hate ghosts. So don't speak in thread the next day, not even a "Bah".

4.) Prods

: After 72 hours of not posting, you will receive a friendly little prod. The prod means you have another 48 hours to post before I find someone who actually wants to play my game. If I fail to see someone and announce their prod, a gentle reminder is appreciated.

I am lenient on Prods because I would be a hypocrite otherwise, but if give too many of them then I will be forced to replace you.

5.) V/LA

Just let me know if you going to be absent from the game for a bit either by PM or in thread. Please state when you will be able to return.

6.) Player Rules

Game Specific Rules

1.) Win conditions

:

The win conditions are different from normal mafia win conditions in a sense that they revolve around obtaining powers. Some players will have the ability to obtain powers. All town have this win condition-

You win when either all threats to town are eliminated or Hades is dead and

ONE

town person controls all three counters of Hades, Zeus, and Poseidon.

2.) Pre-game vote

:

Along with your role, you will be asked to send in the name of one person from the player list. Whomever receives the most votes will be given Zeus' blessing and gain one extra power that is unknown to everyone beside the person receiving it. Mafia will not know there partners before this vote.

3.) Powers:

Everyone has one power and one special power. Powers can be stolen were as specials can not. Specials are only allowed once per game and can not be prevented by normal based powers. There is no limit to the amount of powers you can have, however, you can only use one normal power each night.

Mafia's win condition revolve around obtaining powers.

4.) Three Brothers

:

Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades have one additional item beside powers. When they die, they pass on a counter. Whomever receives Zeus' Power day 0 also receives Zeus' counter. Counters can be taken from players by lynching or Night Killing and will always remain in the game. The person whom hammers on a lynch receives any counters the lynched had. If a person is night killed, then any counters they have go to whomever killed that person.

5.) Role Revea

l- Upon death, only the alignment of the player will be revealed, not the role name.

The Gods carried out their little game and went to Earth. It was like starting off on a clean slate. Each being had no idea that Hades had cheated, gathering those closest to him and taunting the others. The confusion set in and the Town lay siege upon VasudeVa, demanding to know who he was.

VasudeVa:

I am Aphrodite, the Goddess of Love.

Ooba:

Blasphomey... you lie to us all.

Ooba did not hesitate to thrust his sword but VasudeVa had one last trick up his sleeve.

VasudeVa:

Very well, if you do not believe me. I shall expose you for the beast you are!

With a dying laugh a bright light shone from VasudeVa's body and he was gone but what remained was Athena, the Goddess of wisdom standing where Ooba had been.

The group surrounds the fake, wielding their swords, Johoohno stutters for a moment, unsure what to say before growing claws and lunging for the closest person. Everyone thrust their swords with ease into his body and left him on the ground to rot.

Jack: He was most certainly evil, look at those claws.

DataStroker: Let's turn in for the night.

That was when the group realized that the sun had not moved all day. What sorcery is this? Not only was the day not ending, but they didn't feel tired at all. There is only one thing to do, take advantage of the situation and choose another target for today.

Andrius looks to his accuser and threatens him just as Flava Flav returns his threats with equal malice. Ooba claims to have everything understood but how much can you really predict when facing down All Mighty Beings? In the distant sky you hear a voice...

Towers and pillars of molten lava and screams from common folk echo the area until finally the dust settles and the heat subsides. Fire and brimstone aside, today was a good day. Let us review the case...

Andrius... do you here by acknowledge the accusations held against you?

: You must be more specific. What am I being accused of?

Group: You have shown interest in the recently dead and most of us have revealed our identities. It is now your turn.

Andrius

: I... am Hermes.

Flava Flav

: That! Is a lie... I am Hermes.

Ooba

: Well it is evident whom we should kill then.

Andrius

: FINE! I will not deny it further. I work for Hades and will see you all burn.

The fires ragged and Lord Chronos vanished.

Flava Flav

: He has stolen Poseidon's Trident!

Andrius simply stared at the others as they circled him. It was ever clear that Andrius was evil but was he Hades himself? This prospect made some nervious. Which of them had the power to kill the God of the Underworld? Flava Flav was the first to strike, eager to clear his name. He thrust his sword forward with the grace of a swan and the intent to gut his opponent. It was then that everyone realized it would not be easy taking this man down. Andrius waited till the last possible moment then shifted to his right, leaning his shoulder back allowing the blade to glide smoothly past him. He gripped the man's hand where he held his blade and twisted hard downward causing him to move his body in the direction of the blade. With Andrius' right hand he gave a power punch to Flava's chest and released his hold on the blade. Flava Flav soared backwards over the crowd and hard onto his back.


Andrius narrowed his eyes and gave the others a cold hard stare.

"Hades is on my side... not yours. Come if you dare."

With that taunt the others looked about each other, unsure as of how to handle this threat. Iecerint was the next to gather his courage and gave a shout,

"FOR ZEUS!! FALLEN LORD OF OLYMPUS!!!!"

Iecerint and ShadowDancer attacked as one while Ooba circled around. ShadowDancer ducked down and allowed Iecerint to leap off his back towards Andrius, his sword arched back and searing forward. Andrius moved fast, faster then expected and took a few steps forward then leapt from nearby rock, holding the high ground on Iecerint and the others. He met Iecerint in mid air, slightly to the right of Iecerint. The blade barely nicked Andrius' side but was not enough as the evil being gripped Iecerint's forearm and placed his other hand on his shoulder. Andrius pulled down with the strength of a God and caused Iecerint to crash into the ground throwing up all manner of dirt and dust.

Shadow Dancer was on the move as soon as Iecerint leapt and notched his bow, firing an arrow into Andrius' left shoulder. Andrius hit the ground and rolled. He broke the shaft of the arrow and let out an unearthly growl at Shadow Dancer but didn't bother charging him. Ooba had snuck up from behind and attempted to cut down upon Andrius' head but was foiled. He heard Ooba's footsteps on the loose gravel and twirled catching the man's arm, the blade inches from his head. He pulled the sword to the left and let Ooba slice it hard into the ground and also bringing him closer to Andrius who had grown sharp teeth as well as protruding claws. Andrius' head reared back and slammed hard into Ooba's face causing him to release his blade and stumble backwards.

Shadow Dancer fired another arrow into Andrius' back and DataStroker, who had taken off on a sprint towards Andrius, tackled him hard. The now demonized man let out a whelp of pain as he hit the ground. His claws dug into DataStroker's body who was above him and threw him to the side but to no avail as Jack was finally in the battle and holding him down. It wasn't long before the entire group had pinned down Andrius and lead him to the gallows. Andrius, exhausted but smiling had reverted back to normal and put up no fight when being strung up. The others backed away, bleeding and tired but satisfied at their catch. Plum was the only one to not enter the fight, having watched nervously from the side. Andrius' eyes did not falter and he stared hard at Plum when the lever was pulled, releasing the trap door and killing...

*BOOM*

A bright red flash emitted and the others rubbed their eyes.

Ooba

: At least it is done with... wait... Who is that?

The others look with astonishment, unsure what to make of recent events. Andrius was no where to be found and in his place on the noose was...

Plum was lynched Day 4. She was

Andrius is still alive. It is now Night 5.

I will try to get on as soon as possible and have been looking for back up mods but not having much luck. The night was restless and many people had plans for the next day. How to handle this delicate situation? With the arrival of the next day, the group notices that Andrius has returned to the group. No one is surprised but what did seem shocking is that a large crater had appeared and LordChronos was crawling from the hole. But the worst fact of all was seeing Ooba's dead body laying next to the exposed crater, to burned death. Let us end this...

LordChronos has come back to life.

The day started slowly, after all... so many had died, but this didn't stop the group from knowing who needed to be killed. Iecerint immediately took charge, speculating about this and that but with all his speculation and talk, he failed to see Jack standing behind, his hand twitching. Shadow Dance noticed and said, "BEHIND YOU!"

Iecerint turned just in time to see Jack release a Bolt of Lightning into his chest, sending him soaring backwards and falling hard into the ground. He was dead.

The Battle for Olympus

Olympus has always been a widely disputed place, everyone wanting a piece of the action. Rule was distributed among the smartest and strongest of the Gods but it was usually unjustly so. Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades had been the three logical choices for leadership but Hades was foolish. He was tricked into his prison and since then has become ever so devious. He knew Zeus’ rule would not last and that one day, someone would turn on him.

Few weeks earlier:

Zeus laid lifeless… a God slain. His body did not bleed and his arms did not look scarred. He seemed as peaceful as ever but his very presence smelled of death. Hades entered the Golden Hall, his helmet dangling at his side as he stepped swiftly towards his brother’s corpse. Poseidon had been standing towards the side of the room, deep in thought. His brother drew his attention and the conversation went as follows:

Poseidon

: And what brings you here Undertaker.

Hades

: Yes indeed, I am the God of the Underworld and that is why I knew of Zeus’ death. I came to pay my respects of course. Have the others been told?

Poseidon

: Been told that you killed your own brother?

Hades

: I see… you have already planned to frame me for this.

Poseidon

: I do not frame. I will simply let the truth flow.

Hades

: Listen closely to me, dear brother. Now that the God of Olympus is dead… his soul belongs to me. It is now I that control the fate of the Gods. I am sure you didn’t take that into consideration when killing him.

: But seeing as I am a gracious God and always willing to help… I will give you a chance to earn Zeus place over me. Let us allow the others to decide who should rightfully gain the throne of Olympus.

Present Time

:

Over the night, two things had happened...

1) LordChronos had returned, unharmed. No one was quite sure what had happened but it was fairly certain that his return was a good one.

2) Athena, who was disguised as Ooba, laid dead having been burnt to death.

Andrius reappeared his shaking his head. He knew what had to happen next but needed to tread carefully. The end was near, it only needed to be decided who would win. The others instantly turned to him Iecerint leading the charge.

Iecerint: I have had enough of this. We know full well who you are and justice is in demand here. Both you and Jack have seen the end of your days.

Andrius: Lonesome fool... you can not kill me. My time is now and my time will forever be. Let me reveal to you the new era.

As the last words rolled from his tounge, Jack positioned himself behind Iecerint, his hands sparking. Iecerint turned just in time to see the electricity swarm about Jack's body.

Iecerint: ... Z... Zeus?

Jack: (his voice becoming more femine) Not quite...

Jack gave a wide smile and thrust one of Zeus' Lightning Bolts square into Iecerints chest. Shadow Dancer looked stunned as Iecerint landed with a dull thud. He quickly ran to his partner's side checking for signs of life that didn't exist. He let out a scream and charged towards Jack who was already being attacked but some of the other members. Andrius was the only one who remained still, watching with much interest. Jack looked pleadingly towards Andrius but received no mercy. He, or she, or whatever it was should have already known that this sacrifice was needed. Each member cut into Jack without mercy until her true form of Persephone was revealed dead on the floor. Shadow Dancer went on to weep for his fallen comrade while the others regrouped looking about for Andrius who seemed to have vanished. LordChronos stepped forward and called out, "

Come out Hades! It is over

!"

"Indeed it is, brother."

The group turned to see Andrius kneeled down beside Jack's fallen body and allowing a bright light to flow from her hand to his. He stood and looked at each person, dead in the eye. Then with a tremendous clap, he sent a shockwave that thrust everyone backwards. LordChronos was the first to try and stand but Andrius was already standing above him, his apperance had changed into a mighty warrior with blacken armor. His helmet had tiny slits to allow his red eyes to penetrate into LordChronos' soul. He placed his foot on LordChronos' chest and caused him to revert, revealing himself as Poseidon. The brothers remained for a few moments, one standing over the other until Flava Flav, who had shown himself as Hermes, called out saying,

"Is one of your brothers not good enough for you! You have to kill them both?!?!"

Hades

: It is your turn, brother. Tell them the truth.

Poseidon gave a defying glare at his brother as if to say

never.

Hades pressed his boot harder onto Poseidon's chest, crushing his body until he screamed out,

"

OK! I DID IT!

"

Hades

:

"Did what?"

Poseidon

: I killed Zeus... I wanted to claim his throne. But LOOK AT WHO IS GOING TO TAKE IT?!?! Do you really want Hades, the God of the Underworld to remain Lord of Olympus?!?!

The others just looked on with disbelief. How could Poseidon honestly kill his own brother? Hades they could understand but Poseidon? They had nothing to say on the matter and simply turned their heads, admiting defeat. Hades raised his boot and looked down upon his defeated opponent.

: Goodbye... Poseidon. Traitor of Olympus

GAME OVER!!!

Mafia win as Hades has gained all three of the counters. Roles and night actions will be given as soon as I can get home which could be a few days. Mod notes may come before. If you wish to reveal quicktopic threads then feel free and the same thing goes for your Roles. This was a close game and I enjoyed it greatly, but very disappointed in town for not pulling through. You had this game. Thanks for playing and any suggestions would be awesome. I will be releasing All Star Mafia at the end of August and will have the same play mechanics with multiple powers. It will be a large theme game so look out for it.

As stated before, I am away from home and have limited access to an online computer. All of my stuff for this game is on my computer back home and I promise to post it as soon as I can, June 5th at the latest. I can answer a few questions though and try to clear up as much as possible.

1.) Super powers could be activated at any time, some of you received PMs regarding that. If you didn't, its because your Super was already used or it wasn't needed for you to know that. Plum's Super was used upon her Death thus preventing actions from affecting the scum team that night.

2.) Snow_Bunny had Heph-whatever his name was as a role. He was the God of fire and forge and could craft an item for one person every night. He does not know what the item is or does, only who gets it. All items are one shot.

Possible Items:
1) Hermes' Sandles- gives ability to comute thus preventing person from being targeted that night by normal powers.
2) Medussa's Head- gives ability to role block one person.
3.) Zeus' Bolt- gives ability to day kill one person but reveals you as the person who preformed the kill.

Once an item was given, it could not be given again till all items were given. It was a fifty fifty chance for scum to gain the day kill.

3.) Counter mechanics- This was tough to get down to make sure all was fair. If scum should gain Zeus' counter, they would have gained the following power.

Once per night, you may target a person and learn that person's role name.

This was because i didn't want scum to gain a NK immune as Hades already had his body guard and Plum's special. Should scum have gained the counter, they still had to make sure Hades received it. There was one loop hole with the counters that could have caused day 1 win. If Hades won the pregame vote and found out who was Poseidon thus using his special to gain the last counter. It was slim odds as Poseidon and Hades could only gain the counter of Zeus if they had more votes then anyone else. If they tied, then whoever tied with them gain preference. Otherwise, it was random. The votes were three people tied with 2 votes a piece. DocPotter, Plum, and someone else... I have to look it up when I get home.

4) Fake Claims- I am sorry if the scum team disliked not having safe claims and understand that it made the game difficult but being such a power heavy game and having roles that stole powers giving them a leg up in knowing who was in the game should have helped balance that issue out. I think it did at least as Scum still managed to pull out a win despite Town piecing things together so well. (Just for the record, my original plan was to have Gaia as a SK in this game with a 3 person scum team.)
