This is NAI. And even if you disagree with me and think it is re-evaluate and just say it pings you. Let's not go down the ongoing games route. There is really no good response to that post.

Devil's advocate here: What is UC Voyager's alignment and why? Keep it to this game. That phrasing is common here but if you have an issue with it talk about it with the mod please.

Do you want me to spoils claims or nah? i personally dont like when im catching up

The people you should be really reading into are

Cabd early game
Quick/Nero/Bee/Whiskers/Myself
I like to have the claims so after I read I can then compare to the claims and see what "jives" and matches.

Can you read the thread then ask questions after? i know it might be rude but this doesnt look like an efficient way to catch up
It actually is an efficient way to catch up for a couple of different reasons
1) It lets people see what I am thinking while I am reading it. So it helps people read me as I am reading the thread.

2) It gives me a sounding off board of thoughts so as I have questions people can respond to them in real time and if I am off on the wrong track at the start of my read people can correct it sooner. I actually used to be a Waller and this was a suggestion to try to avoid my own biases.

3) I am phone posting at 10:30 at night and am too damn lazy to get my laptop.

His behavior is not obvtown. If he is "obvtown" it is only because of his roleclaim. And there are scum/3p versions of his role.
I literally had to double check what people posted as claims because this pinged me so freaking hard.

Cabd, a person who has made more setups than I have probably played, would as scum take the negative utility and claim day vig and shoot someone D1? Barring a divine inspiration post I highly doubt that Cabd is scum. Like just I can't even fathom that.

I am sleepy as fuck but I will catch up more as I can. Will be at DnD and a friend at the airport so more phone posting for me.

I am not seeing the scum motivation here to outing Cabd as some crumb. So someone explain to me why the whiskers wagon is a thing?
You don't see why it benefits scum to point out softs?
Not in the slightest.

As scum without day chat I mention it in the night end conversations.
As scum with day chat I mention it there.

If anything as scum I try to steer conversation away from the crumb so Town doesn't pick up on it. Calling out a crumb as scum to me is a silly move strategically.

(Example Shadowrun where someone crumbed doctor with a doctor who reference) I just made a note to buddy the slot.

I am a huge proponent of keeping pants on (my thing for don't fucking role claim when you don't need to) and I think crumbs can be good if done well. If you can't use a broom don't leave a mess in the bakery.

I think scum benefits from when Town outs the crumbs but not when they do it themselves. It lets Town players organize which is something I don't want when I play scum.

Hence why Whiskers is probably town. And on the off chance Whiskers isn't Whiskers will be super easy to catch because they don't do the smart things.

I'd rather go for the hard to lynch scum first because there is more opportunity to have people off the wagon and still hit scum. Flubber fits that bill from what I have read.

Someone explain to me why the Quick wagon is a thing?

He's disingenuous, being way too defensive, is pushing Whiskers for being defensive all while saying it isn't AI when people call him defensive.
Also he got really mad when I pushed him for roughly the same reason he started pushing Whiskers which just strikes me as odd if he genuinely believes in the push he is making he'd at least understand where I was coming from.
In other words, being Quick.

In the last game I played with Quick it was a dickens of a time to actually get them to vote Infinity who was my top scumread because of his resistance so much it flipped. Thankfully we compromised on Infinity first and I am still eating crow a bit from that but if Quick is defensive they're probably just annoying not actually scum.

Gistou was a hella different beast.

In that game I was scum and I was literally directing all of LQ's buddies since I couldn't be lynched to take care of Luna and it left my team free to do the kill. LQ rewarded me by strongman vigging me for being too Town. (I was the literal big bad and that was the only way I would have been NKd) This is not LQ Gistou.

I am not a fan of the "Nauci is a noob, ignore her today." argument. I think my biggest issue with this is...like she's arguing that we have META on all these other players and therefore we should ignore scummy content from Nauci and focus on experienced players and those that we do have meta on. I think its a bad argument in and of itself but the biggest issue is that she is ok with me pushing Nauci tomorrow. We are not going to have meta on Nauci after a night phase. I'm not seeing a difference between a Nauci push d1 and a Nauci push d2.

this kinda worries me in hindsight. It's one of those classic bus buddy push town.

She also has alot of posts that are this kind of reprimanding ppl and I actually think that comes from scum alot.

There's one other thing that I'm loathe to out since I'm worried that it might out someone but I'll do it tomorrow if she doesn't get lynched.

But then a Nauci-Joey-Whiskers team is probs not a thing but I can't help the way I feel.

Basically, I see you playing in the thread in that part of the game, dont see your towny intent.

My question I suppose is can you explain whats going on so I see the towny intent?
And so far, I haven't manage to see that range of posts (from the quoted one on up to his reads list) as having towny intent.
and my problem with that was there were so many opportunities to ask questions probe and try to find things out but it just kept not happening.

and yes it is a judgement call, but I still see them as the best most likely to flip scum wagon.
This is a lot of words here but I don't see a reason why other than you don't see "Towny intent"? That is empty as fuck and if I used that I would just end up lynching everyone with a different mindset other than myself.

Is that really all you have despite all those words? Like both Town and scum defend themselves. I just don't understand your case like at all.

My push on Alisae wasn't getting traction. Nobody was willing to look at her while I pushed, and my push was largely a hypocritical push on me and otherwise having bad logic. Plus posts like the "get rekt" one, I was 2v1 and appreciated being able to wave a mistake in their face.

From memory: I agree I believe i saw these happen:
push on Alisae wasn't getting traction
,
Nobody was willing to look at her

It also looked like you
appreciated being able to wave a mistake in their face.

and while it those things
but this does not feel to me like you are trying to work out Alisae

which is my problem with those posts is still true.

continued answering rest of post still coming in next post (or there abouts)
Yeah still don't get it.

I get excited when scum push me for a mislynch because I get excited I get to rub it in their faces and will cause their downfall.

So it is more "feeling". I need something more than "gut" or "feeling" if you're scumreading Whiskers.

It feels like Whiskers is a popular person to scumread versus being scum.

I would look at Nauci and Flubber.

Are those raisins you can explain? Considering there's a good chance you're about to be lynched? If not I won't fuckin' bother but there's a decent chance Voyager is a future lynch/vig, so if there's something that
only you know
((as a VT??)) then I think you should report it.

I care what your read on the Alisae slot is because of the reasons I listed the first time I asked.
I care because you gave reads on other nicely-tangled slots but not on her.
That's because Alisae (slot) was out of the game for quite a while, while we were waiting on a replacement. I don't have enough to gauge Math yet. I am disappointed that he cut his catchup so sort and that is mildly Scummy in and of itself IMO.

What I was contemplating with Alisae is that I have seen Alisae attack me as soon as possible and then end up Town reading me. He did this when He was Scum and I was Town. There is also the whole BS thing regarding the logical fallacy he made regarding how previous engagements have something to do with the way he should read me in the future.
My catchup isn't cut short. See Gay Mafia or recently completed morph the cat game. I catch up while interacting with people. Is this gonna be a game where you attack me for being me?

Are you saying flub is town here because they have the possibility of Town telling or that they did in a small amount?

Explain this post to me.

I do kinda like these though. Alisae/Math claiming Miller is a thing that scum have faked before and it's not impossible that Alisae does that but Alisae pushing a killing role is a bit bold and I've heard that Alisae is kinda a wus as scum.

This is the WiFoM of a desperate player.

That means Whiskers is a mislynch or a null read or is (unlikely) scum. I can literally take resistance or what you are saying as resistance when it really isn't and make it into anything.

What can't be manipulated is the why of people are and aren't on the wagon. I have scumread you pretty damn close to on replace in and statements like this only reaffirm my read.

It's almost like other people have opinions that are different than yours. *GASP*

I think your reason for town reading Whiskers is shit anyways. I think the exact opposite of you...what the fuck is the town motivation of pointing out a crumb?

I mean ok sure but I don't think that really makes it ok or even has anything to do with Whiskers pointing out a soft claim as town. Wich should never be done. Why? In the hopes that scum did NOT catch the crumb/soft claim why the fuck would you advertise that?
There is a difference between what I think a newbie should do and what the wiki says. It is about the motivation of which I only see derp town not scum.

Pretty sure placing someone who isn't posting as Town instead of null is a pretty common scum move.

Yes it is. It shows Nero is trying to look Town versus just being town. When Nero is town he at least tries. I've played with Nero enough to know that this isn't like him.

No it reads like trying to fake a derp tell because people suspect you. Looking Town can take many forms.

Why not? You could say that its hard to get a verbalized PL wagon, like no one and their mothers wants to be caught on a PL wagon, especially not scum. Why did that happen then? Maybe because there was an incentive outside the PL itself which is the CW to mefias.
I am ignoring it because I townread Whiskers and no one is actually explaining why I townread him away.

Nero tried but it only reinforced my read. That level of play I just can't see coming from scum. So I am hunting elsewhere.

I don't think that's a good quote to represent it unless you want to give us some more context-- All I'm seeing is a player talking a lot of shit, which plenty of people in this game have done. Horrible idea. Can you not find at least one point of common ground? Seriously it is highly likely the duo are masons and we need to work together. The game is already apathetic.

In post 3154, Lucky2u wrote:Ok so lets start with the easy things. I completely dislike the conf town slots for being next to useless so far. TIAM wasted alot of time and drew alot of attention with the anti Cabd town paranoia. If Rhah's claim wasn't so town spontaneous, I'd call it some kind of gambit. If on the off chance Rhah, you are actually just neighbors with TIAM, please claim now and don't be afraid when we lynch him. Both of you are just sitting on your cred of the claim.

Rhah is barely here and adds little to the conversation. This post told me enough that I don't need to pay attention to anything Rhah has to say any more and neither do the rest of town.
Hey Gerry, did you even push UCV?

TIAM is here but not reading completely and just coming to bad conclusions. Hell he didn't even notice UCV subbed out and voted him at day start. He's here, he just isn't trying hard. I won't be listening to anything this conf town has to say either.

Cabd, I joined this game for you (yes I know I'm talking to a dead man but he usually follows his dead games), where the hell were you? You took advantage of your role in the best way mechanic wise but did squat all with the scum hunting opp you had.

Ok done with them. Let's talk about the other corpses.

------------------------------------

Quick was an asshole, that doesn't mean his reads were wrong. For the record, his last reads list had Nauci, Joey and Whiskers at the scum side.

Dunkers was actually kind of useless, I don't put much weight on his reads but here they were (joey/beeboy/holyspirit/turtle/someone else). This doesn't help much but Joey was on both dying players list and... well you probably jumped to the end of this post and saw I'm voting joey so there is that. If a third dead townie dies and also has joey on their list can you please fucking lynch him please?

------------------------------------

Let's go over everything Shiro has added to the game

...

Ok done.

IAI also lurked for the first 2k posts of this game. His content has been pretty good since then, so I'm ok not lynching this. I do seriously think that there does not exist a game where scum doesn't have one lurker on their team. So knowing that my lurker slot is town, and given that I like IAI, it's probably Shiro. One scum down.

----------------------------

I am skipping over beeboy, Nero, HST, and Axle because they are furthest from the scum side of the spectrum for me and I don't like talking about my town reads in case they are wrong. If you push me on it, I'll talk about it but I don't think it's a good idea for town to tell unconf players that might be scum what they are doing right to get a town read from them.

----------------------------

Ok on to some meatier stuff. The Alisae slot. It was middle of the road for me until some alarm bells went off for me. Particular the bit where Cabd threw out his intent to shoot dunker and she was quick to post that she doesn't think it will flip scum. Everything about how Alisae did that and the way she was going about her content seemed like she had insider info. Her interactions with Cabd seemed like fake attempts to be friendly with a day vig, especially when she danced around saying the words day vig. Mathblade replacing in has been significantly better, but I'm not over this slot possibly being scum. I'm benching this slot for now.

-------------------------

whiskers. early day 1 showed alot of frustration and caps sentences in his wall posts that came across like alot of scum faking town frustration. This slot got a bit better. I don't know if that missing the scum day chat in the rules was fake or not, but I will also bench this slot.

---------------------------

Flubber spends the little time he is here debating the normalness of a day vig during phase of 1 of the game, goes into some useless mod setup spec theorizing. I suppose this is NAI, but I personally think scum do this more than town. It does nothing but spread doubt in the minds of town and makes them look like they were contributing. Missing/forgetting the mason claim was kind of bad, something I think scum is also more prone to do then town. I mean, scum already knows who town is so a mason claim isn't important to them. I like this slot as another scum possibility.

----------------------------

Nauci early reads: Def scum. Middle of read: def noobtown. near end of the read: no wait she is scum after all. Then she forgets dunker is dead. I honestly don't know how to process that. Noobtown mistake? Super fake scum acting?

--------------------------

Gerry you are like vanilla ice cream at Ben and Jerry's. I wasn't even paying attention to you. Don't get me wrong, I get it, you want my slot dead. I guess I need to interact with you some here. You've shown that you are constantly willing for my lynch, but can you sum up why for me again? Let's start a dialogue.

--------------------------

Finally Joey Underscore. Joey's reaction to the day vig flip was fake. Joey moving votes in quick succession on page 66 was pretty scummy. His sheep to beeboy was scummier. His next post after that declaring he is sure the conf town are conf town is scum trying to look town. The entire Quick vs Joey back and forth can now be looked at from a perspective of knowing that quick was town, so did anyone go back and read that? Cause Joey is scum. He white knights TIAM, and I think at one point says that he knew TIAM was town before the mason claim. The assessment that joey is buddying everyone he can is accurate and it is scum, please lynch it.

VOTE: Joey-

The main point is why are you disagreeing and making noise against confirmed Town.

I am desperately trying to keep up with the thread and all these words is making it really difficult. I am used to a lot of snap posts and seeing this much stuff where most of it is stroking egos versus actually communicating is making it really hard to get reads.

Ok good job MATHblade, that's 1 down. Do you care to comment on any of the rest?

Also I have whiskers as benched. Which means low priority scum leanings for me. How about trying to tell me why I might be wrong? Why you might be right? Or you know... More than just you town read him
You didn't do much more than tell me that my scum leanings on whiskers was wrong. I want to know why. You can also use my post to Rhah a few moments ago to discuss this with me. I also have your slot in a scum lean, so your thoughts interest me here to also develop my read in you.
I have already explained why I townread Whiskers multiple times. Like I don't understand why you'd want me to waste time and create a lot of empty words on something I feel just can't happen. I townread Whiskers based on how Whiskers handled the Cabd intro. You have a lot of words there but at some point there is so much there it is noise. I have mentioned this several times.

Much of your posts are a lot of words yet after simple inspections with you it becomes clear you are not reading with an indepth examination. All you're doing is adding to the word count and after pointing that out and what Rhah pointed out I am more than okay with your lynch.

You can't on one hand claim to have read things and post all these craptastic things. I just don't believe a Town player would do this.

Just a fuckin thought.
My point is the "damage" by outing townreads would be done st that point. There is no reason that they shouldn't be expanded upon. There is no "damage" by talking about town reads hence the quotes.

When you read closely and have a good foundation I will respond to the rest. Otherwise it just adds more to read that is not useful and propagates misinformation.

@Whiskers -- I am thoroughly convinced the case against you is noise and Lucky + Flubber are a team. However I have found that it's generally better to explain my scumreads than defend my town ones.

Defending my town ones ends up with stopping people from making that read themselves. Instead I would rather point out how Lucky isn't reading and flubber is being well flubber.

Talk with me more about the concrete facts and let's see where that leads you.

I very much think Lucky is scum and I am trying to figure out why you don't scumread Lucky.

I don't see HST scum being outright against a wagon on Lucky2 if Lucky2 and HST were partners so HST is probably town.

I don't think anything is going to get done until I'm lynched. I'm reaaaaal easy lynchbait, to the extent that we're going to see a "why isn't whiskers lynched yet" conversation every Day, and a major Whiskers-voting faction, until it happens. It feels like a game of do anything besides what the masons want.

It really annoying and it doesn't feel like we are collaborating just going "my turn" to get "my way" like a ping pong ball and scum are using that to make it land on townies.

I don't think there are any obvious town in day 1 aside from dunk. That is something scum would say.
Lol Cabd is obvTown. Like obvTowns are just a thing and I already have several barring earth shattering events.

Really?

Are we in the same game?

Like I have been explaining my townreads all game. I am learning from my bad games where I pushed scumreads all day long. A lot of feedback I have received from my prior games is I townread people well but scumreads need work.

VOTE: Joey-
This post had me laughing out loud. If the entire point of not talking about your town reads is wrong then you wouldn't have listed them as Town reads like what? Furthermore by not justifying your townreads you're not able to have them poked and prodded to see where they are wrong. Like...????

There is alot of reasons for that. It's all wifom depending on who the scum are and can be painted to suit anyone's agenda. For example I could make the argument that they didn't kill the masons because the masons are doing the scum a favor and lynching town so why get rid of them? Or maybe they would rather hunt power roles rather than two masons who are no threat to them at night while they have such a commanding lead.
You can. Any skilled player can make any argument. Hell I could make the point HST had the scumteam nailed. HST was a nullkill.HST was believed a infinite shot informed townie who knew all the scums.

What matters is the reality. The proper kill was to shoot a mason. The longer the masons remain alive the harder it becomes for a mislynch. The question is indeed why. But until we get a red flip that why is supposition.

I mean Math is scum for other reasons too but yeah this is still scum.

VOTE: Joey-

is this really your rationale

nauci got "thrown up" for lynching. she didn't put herself there.

and besides even if this is try, why is she sacking herself for smocaine and not for, say whiskers?
It'd require Whiskers to be scum for one thing which I don't believe.

And it would also require Smocaine to have not slipped.

Transcend, you need to understand how what you say can be construed even if it's not what you mean..
Look I am trans too and I thought nothing of it because psychology does support boys and girls acting differently regardless of what biological parts a girl does or doesn't have or a guy does or doesn't have. Hell most people read and respond to me as a dude because that is what I am even though I am working on getting my body congruent.

Like Transcend has said some sexist shit. But this isn't it.

um yeah there is. Like your ENTIRE case on Flubb was that Quick was his cw and he flipped town. If that was something you believed in you should believe that the same is true for Whiskers.
Except Whiskers wasn't a counterwagon it was a wagon that formed at the same time. Furthermore I did not have a townread on Flub and did Quick and still do on Whiskers. A counterwagon is what I see based on reads. Not a wagon happened must be scum. <<See Mastina's VCA guide which is like the holy grail>>

Whiskers is of the opinion that being transgender is sexist

It's a very alt-right nazi propaganda opinion.
Let's assume this is what Whiskers thinks.

Believing trans people don't exist is evil and despicable. However through love is how hearts get changed. Throughout this entire game people have been calling me they or he. No one here in their heart of hearts believes I am female because I have boobs. Calling someone a nazi doesn't actually make them change. It makes them go "I am not a nazi, Hitler is evil, and my opinion is justified".

So how about we show love rather than the hate given and claim targets since you have claimed Jailkeeper?

It has for some people who are ignorant. I am gonna keep my belief people are inherently good and vote for you because you are not actively serving town's best interests. You can say who you targeted so I can evaluate your claim. If you refuse until your replacement my vote will pretty much be stuck.

you realize that's a threat thatdoesn't have any weight, assuming Viomi no longer gives afuck about this game.

Also you realize it doesn't make much sense anyway, considering an upset Viomi isn't going to be indicative of alignment and that the replacement is going to have exactly the same information that she will.
It's not a threat.

It is me saying I can't evaluate the claim unless I see the logic behind it and I don't see the Town reason to not include it.

I have to go to work and I am a Fucking mess.

Will check this later tonight.

It makes them go "I am not a nazi, Hitler is evil, and my opinion is justified".
FWIW Math, I am entirely in the same boat on the issue. I am *always* willing to engage someone who disagrees, so long as they're willing to engage in good faith.
FWIW I really don't want to talk about this anymore.

It's hard enough just reading the fucking thread ATM.

As it is I overslept and have to run to work I really don't want to see stuff like this. I know you mean well but I kinda just wanna play the game.

I really gotta give kudos to my buddies Axle, Transcend, and Whiskers. They had the foresight to bus me when I fell apart because of "reasons" (and that's all I'm saying on that) D3. I'm still debating if I should release the PT but I wasn't in a good frame of mind. So kudos to them and they did things really well. The biggest thing I would say is Whiskers needs to get the scum PT more in lylo.

I would have to redact multiple players posts and so I would rather let people read it whom I have a good "bead" for.

There's certain struggles that I have that I may not want public. For you to say then show it all is callous and rude.
