So, there are 26 of us. Game started with 22 of us confirming our roles. Now everyone confirmed their role, but only 22 have commented in this thread. I'm almost sure the four players who confirmed last, meaning that the game started before they confirmed their roles, were Wisdom, BuJaber, BrightEyedFish and DrewVa. That means that DrewVa saw that the game already started, but didn't come to say hi. That's rude.

Oh you're right I misread. I find the logic a little hypocritical because you townread someone in your post just prior to 366 for the same thing "seemingly trying to get out of RVS." If I look at your tone argument that he's "too enthusiastic" I don't think it holds in the context of his ISO as his tone is the main reason I townread him. So really it just looks like an easy post to nitpick at as scum looking at surface level reasons to look like they're sorting.

Also, why are we in the top tier? I feel like our posting so far makes us a slot that's easy to "townread" when constructing a reads list, but my expectation is that town would be more likely to be a bit more skeptical. Especially given that both Regfan and I have been on the site for a long time and I don't feel we've exactly amazed here.

I skimmed a few and felt you were one of the most obvious townies in intent. I don't base my reads on level of amazement lol. I tend to make lists D1, sometimes flipping my whole list upside down so your wtf reaction helps to solidify my read there. I'll probably update it later today.

Ok so after digging through a few DGB games...

Town:

Mini 2020 Starts off similar to here but gets invested in sorting a few scum reads also. Intent becomes clearer as the game progresses.

Transformers Mafia Similar to here but we're again missing a "scum detected" post. Looks like DGB lurked themselves dead.

Mini 619 - House Mafia Constantly softs that they are a PR. Much more active and engaged, was the lylo mislynch.

Scum:

Steven Universe 2 Much more question orientated vs stating opinions. Phrases Town reads differently. Looks nothing like the other town games.

I think it's likely this game is more in line with DGB's town meta. I see they are often mislynched/left until lylo as town. Though we're missing the certain aggressive tunnels I saw in a couple of town games, I think the attitude of nonchalance is stil strongly town/3p indicative here.

Because there should be no reason for that kind of degradation of a read. Null/town -> null is still a drop that shows a loss of a town read. The thing is, there was no reason for such a loss. It makes me wonder if those reads were faked. And I wonder if I took the time to dissect both posts, and if I looked at timing, if I would find other examples. My place is just the most obvious and what immediately stood out. The rest sounds like work.

I struggle to explain my reads that's why I do lists, to show my thoughts early on as a baseline. If I find more reason to townread others and I think you're below that threshold after resorting that's where you go. If I were scum I'd probably be more careful about my progression making sense.

Ok so after digging through a few DGB games...

Town:

Mini 2020 Starts off similar to here but gets invested in sorting a few scum reads also. Intent becomes clearer as the game progresses.

Transformers Mafia Similar to here but we're again missing a "scum detected" post. Looks like DGB lurked themselves dead.

Mini 619 - House Mafia Constantly softs that they are a PR. Much more active and engaged, was the lylo mislynch.

Scum:

Steven Universe 2 Much more question orientated vs stating opinions. Phrases Town reads differently. Looks nothing like the other town games.

I think it's likely this game is more in line with DGB's town meta. I see they are often mislynched/left until lylo as town. Though we're missing the certain aggressive tunnels I saw in a couple of town games, I think the attitude of nonchalance is stil strongly town/3p indicative here.

Thanks to creature's digging, in the original embed post it looks like Gamma TMI's about this game being multiball. To clarify before Tails jumps in twisting shit again: I do not disagree, I do think this is multiball of at least the groupscum + 3p + town variety, however the way he spewed it and then his following justification seemed awkward/not in line with what I'd expect from town re: setup spec.

Wisdom looks townier because he can't see why Gamma is seeing the setup the way he is from his reasoning which leads me to believe wisdom genuinely doesn't have any clues about the setup or at the very least it's a good push on gamma.

Now that I've explained my perspective in the post, I don't think it's unreasonable to understand that's what I'm saying. Gamma somehow interprets my post as a naked SvT read, which makes no sense and seems hyperreactive. This is where I'd expect town Gamma to laugh at me about how wrong/dumb I was if he were town. In a way the montage kind of converted my mindset into seeing how baseless a few of the votes on Gamma are. I still feel like Gamma is not town as he doesn't have his usual air of nonchalance/seems overagressive.

Yes he's definitely manipulating you the question is whether he's town or scum manipulating you. I particularly dislike the first quote because he assumes you're town whilst shading you as scummy. I don't know about the meta between you but I'd say if you've helped to convince others he's town in the past and saved him then it's possible he's doing this as town to get your help. I think scum would be more subtle about it.

It's an Overkill game. I expect the mod to maximize death possibility. So more than 1 scum team. I also don't think he decreases the amount of SKs from last game. So minimum of 2.

If he had said *anything* with no connection to what was being said/had been said, in teh form of him CORRECTING something he HAD NEVER SAID here, then even without the "other scumteam" bit I'd still consider it a slip.

How can you not see that all the conclusions Profii formed looked explicitly like someone on a scumteam (probably not with Chick) who has some info about another scumteam. When he said "other scumteam" it looked like he slipped there are definitely at least two

Tbf last time I lost the game for my team at Lylo I did the opposite and over thought it. If I had voted early with my gut I would've been right so it's easy to get confirmation biased about the best approach in Lylo.

I don't see how waiting would've changed the outcome and mafia is a team game so even if it comes down to Lylo everyone contributed on the path there.

I will say I did apologise for my loss for all the good that did lol.

I once won as scum by getting Mathdino to vote/gladiate eddie cane while he was at a party IRL I respect Mathdino but I had worked out a way to get obv town eddie quickvoted. I had to push him to vote before eddie got back, there's noway I think less of Math it's just that all the dynamics in the game lead to that point. Eddie did what cerb is doing now and acknowledged everyone for my win except me.
