So, let's not fool ourselves here. Wheme's approach to me has been to actively attempt to twist my play into something that it is not. Weasel wording it to make it appear I'm fence sitting. Taking a really tortured interpretation of something I described him doing -- not to mention removing that description from its context. Etc. This sort of play normally grinds my gears, but Wheme's approach to it is so boneless and ineffective that I mostly just want to dunk on him for it. But is it alignment indicative? Hmmmm, not so sure.

Someone town desperately trying to get the gun at any and all costs, up to and including the town turning their back on them entirely, is a very real possibility. Anti-town as fuck and all but guaranteed to lead to utter disaster, but still, very possible.

Then again, gambiting scum? Not impossible, especially if they're the Godfather -- someone taking them up on their offer has /some/ utility. That would be awfully telling in a lot of ways, though, so it's no guarantee itself.

There are so many logical holes in your read of me that I struggle to see it coming from an honest approach to the game, and rather from a tactical positioning against a potential town leader.

I don’t get why you think I’m sensitive to the dynamics. I think imperium was more invested in the conversation as they were questioned by more people and as a result had to defend themselves more. As for whoever scumread me based on low posting: i'm sorry, but i'm in the middle of a Covid situation that is national news in the UK. I'll catch up tonight.

For now, all i'll say is that from the moment I read Lotus' reasoning for Duchess being scum day 1, I liked it and backed it without deviation. I even pushed it and hit home what was going on with Duchess and Imperium (who is locktown for me). When presented with a choice of 2 people to be scum or be shot, I always went Duchess. Now, who posted things like "Duchess might be scum, but I think i'd shoot X right now". Because that's where scum are.

My thoughts are pretty much the same. I've been putting off looking into Duchess because I am mostly locked into my confbias. What I said earlier about Wheme/Duchess trying to distance each other still applies, and the surrounding context behind it is the tepid relationship between the two. I know for a fact if I'm scum and someone is shouting for my death that I am going to do something about it, but instead Duchess just offers biting criticism for Wheme ignoring them and at best a wag of a finger.
