Haven't caught up yet from the prior stuff but I can't look good or not good. I have been at work! I can understand scumreading me for having a life is bullshit. I expected to be off work 6 hours ago and able to have caught up so people could read me. When I realized that wouldn't happen I dropped something so people would understand where I was.In post 1453, long_island_medium wrote:kuroi voted me if i am seeing this correctly

i'm always opposed to types that give excuses rather than just not talking at all

That being said while I think this is extremely offensive I think it makes you town.

The way random highlights Varsoon multiple times (similar to this) and calls Varsoon town feels like someone trying to implant a suggestion of Varsoon being town rather than believing it.In post 417, Randomnamechange wrote:Varsoon is town here, so is Wisdom probably.-

I am just surprised a town read did. That kinda throws a loop in my random/Varsoon/Cephrir theory. Might be possible Varsoon is swapped with long medium and you were intentionally trying to piss me off earlier. Regardless random is the lynch today and the fact you just "hop off" is hella suspicious.-

Yes. Because you are scum trying to mess with this game. If the slightest pressure dis incentivizes your posting then this game will not bode well because I will be sending a lot of pressure your way until I understand why the heck your original push of TNE was done. This is not a "reason" you just call the vote poor and move on.In post 177, Varsoon wrote:I know, it's just a lame part of the game for me.
Just because a dude claims something like Cop doesn't mean we should townread him outright.
Just because someone claims something super anti-town doesn't mean we should scumread them outright.
Like, yeah, it should influence how we read them, and we should consider if they are claiming truthfully, etc.
But the mechanical truths of the game shouldn't supersede the rhetorical play.
P-EDIT: Flighty, poor vote on me, I remember specific posts I didn't like.
It's early in this game so far and I'm not a great mafia player, but I feel better about TNE scum than anyone else so far.

Or they could have been offline due to RL. The fact is you used offline to try to frame TNE rather than ask a question. Here the first is one actual thing close to a reason and it is one word "meta". Which is bullshit. This is tne's town meta having played with them recently. Just because someone doesn't play in the way YOU expect doesn't make them town or scum. It makes them different. In post 827, Varsoon wrote:

But I still like to try to play, y'know. I still try to contribute. I still try to win and have fun and mostly win.
Anyway...In post 808, thenewearth wrote:And I was expected to react with the first interaction
The thing is we could have all avoided this by not posting at all
I've learned that in a past. Some things aren't just worth answering
Yeah, how is that not a scum strategy, zmuffin? In post 809, zMuffinMan wrote:yes, and that's why i know you're not answering them. my biggest issue with how you've played the game is that it's hard to tell whether you think you're answering the questions or whether you're deliberately not answering them and pretending you have
i mean, the biggest example of my own line of questioning that never got a direct answer was the stuff about varsoon, how you somehow managed to "hit submit" at post #93 without reading past it, why you went back there afterwards, etc. yes, you gaveananswer to my questions, but it wasn't actually answering what i was asking
so i gave up and decided nothing you were going to say about it was going to mean anything
similarly, i've been following pieguy's interactions with you and while you giveananswer to some of pieguy's questions, you're also not answering the actual questions
and i have difficulty parsing whether you think you are or whether you're pretending you are
Like seriously
"Oh I'm not gonna engage with anything because engagement and clarity can be anti-town sometimes so I'll avoid it all the times."
Like that is straight up scummy.
That's not how I'm used to TNE playing.
That's not how I've really ever seen town play.
I've seen people play distanced games. Even I have played a distanced game. This is a far shot from that.-

1) You don't demonstrate anything in that post about TNE's "rubbish".In post 1545, Varsoon wrote:

In that sentence, I express both frustration with Pieguy's defense and TNE's play--my primary point of contention is how nebulous both are.
Neb·u·lous
nebyələs
Adjective
1. In the form of a cloud or haze; hazy.
EX: "a giant nebulous glow"
Synonyms: indistinct, indefinite, unclear, vague, hazy, cloudy, fuzzy, misty, blurred, blurry, foggy; More
2. (Of a concept or idea) unclear, vague, or ill-defined.
EX: "nebulous concepts like quality of life"
Synonyms: vague, ill-defined, unclear, hazy, uncertain, indefinite, indeterminate, imprecise, unformed, muddled, confused, ambiguous
"nebulous ideas"
The examples I have provided in quotations speak towards what I findandnebulousabout both TNE's play and Pieguy's defense.rubbish
I finalize my point by stating that "I'm not going to just give you a pass because you are waving your hand." This explains my stance in regards to Pieguy, but further reinforces my tenacity in pushing TNE over playing in a similar way.
2) the examples in quotations of that post are zmuffinman. Again no TNE quotes.
3) My aggression is off putting. Deal. I was town in that game and town in this one. I am going to say what I believe.
If you don't like it tough cookies. I don't change my play because scum don't like it. I poke and pressure til I see something that changes my mind. Nice attempt at trying to butter me up with the dictionary quote by the way.-

Oh this is rich coming from someone who faked a guilty on me that game. I had every reason to think you were Salarian and I followed up. When you were Turian and not fake claiming guilties I left you alone. When you started trying to lynch town I pushed you.

Is this 'putting lipstick on a pig'?
In post 1316, Varsoon wrote:No.
TNE has offered no content that advances the game.
TNE has consistently sheeped 'safe' reads and wagons.
TNE has, when pressured or asked questions that would help other people discern TNE's alignment, dodged the questions or discussion entirely.
TNE has actively lurked.
These are all facets of scummy, anti-town at best, play. TNE should be lynched. In post 1321, Varsoon wrote:TNE tried to shift for a push on me predicated on the idea that I was soft-claiming, when I wasn't at all.
TNE laid a very flimsy vote on you without any reasoning supporting it. When pressured for reasons, he gave none.
TNE consistently keeps placating any pressure put on him with nebulous "It is a secret" or "I am waiting on something" sorts of posts. You're enabling him to do this by not voting him until he either gives content or admits he has none.
1000 posts after your original post no longer counts as reasons for your initial vote. Furthermore it is all "TNE doesn't post enough". It isn't a reason.
@TNE -- I don't "know" anything.
What I do see is Varsoon playing towards an agenda and I am calling it out clearly with my reasons why. I am not trying to "discredit Varsoon". I am demonstrating that there is nothing there to credit.-

Good god don't let Rando get away with fucking scum claiming in the thread people.
Pieguyn you are confbiasing. That is bad. I am demonstrating what I believe but no one is actually trying to read me for me or post reasons why I am scum (which I am not) instead they are basing it off of Kuroi's play. I understand it was shit but if you are going to call me scum then call me scum for something I posted. Otherwise this is just a sheep of people OMGUSing which is how bullshit wagons start.
There is enough content for people to get a read of me independent of Kuroi. I can't change what he did but I can change what I do and what I am going to do is help town.-

Far as I am concerned I know I am town and random saying it is half right is a scum claim.
1) Half right comes from a place of knowledge.
2) it looks as if he is trying to call me scum but never actually votes me instead he keeps his vote on TNE. Because he probably knows if I die the rest of the team is going down.
3) Random is clearly trying to get a lynch on anyone but himself while trying to doubtcast my theory.
Random needs rope.-

The way I read it is each person has two powers. The top and if they transform the latter. So every person has powers. In post 1583, Genji wrote:

Do you think all the town will follow a plan and if they don't will you consider them scummy for transforming against the groups decisions?
And as for finding them scummy it would depend on the explanation. For example if someone transformed and got the power to kill a shit ton of people and then a shit ton died that would be scummy. However if they explain it as I have a protective transformation power and I was pretty sure scum would shoot X and no one died then I would be okay with that. It would require explanation.
Mod -- Are players who transform and/or attempt to publically announced? I am thinking not as it would expose anyone not scum (assuming no SK) to instantly know who has uber powers?-

Yes I believe he is and when random flips people will see why you are Varsoon switched to tunneling me and avoiding random. In post 1592, Cephrir wrote:You cannot actually be telling me you believe that half right post was intended to say "math is town and I am scum". Random has been floating around at L-1/2 for a while now. Yet in all the chaos no one is asking why people are hopping off and on or why people are doing things. In post 1602, zMuffinMan wrote:
im going to guess at some point in the next few pages this is already answered but why is it "hella suspicious"?In post 1511, MathBlade wrote:I am just surprised a town read did. That kinda throws a loop in my random/Varsoon/Cephrir theory. Might be possible Varsoon is swapped with long medium and you were intentionally trying to piss me off earlier. because my first thought when someone (especially a town read) unvotes someone at l-1 isn't usually, "that's hella suspicious and throws a loop in my reads this game"
i dunno if i've pointed out the cakez-kuroi(slot) interactions this game but i feel like this should be the first place a lot of people look if mathblade flips scumIn post 1512, SirCakez wrote:Not seeing anything wrong with MathBlade?
or at least it should be given some serious examination
As soon as I replace into this slot people suddenly abandon what looks to be a random bus and start screaming for my lynch. This cannot be a coincidence.
In the Mafia wiki by the way "Can we lynch X now?" Is considered a scum tell.
You don't have reads if you are scum Varsoon. The only thing that changed is wanting to save your butt.-

....You mean that thing we hashed over for a few pages where you just wanted TNE are looking for a way not to talk about your random reads and want me dead by OMGUS? We have been down this road. Giving another fake explanation for what is horrible won't help.In post 1614, Varsoon wrote:It's almost like you came into the thread with a terrible intro and gave lots of good reason to vote you and I already voiced desire to consolidate wagons and people made it clear TNE lynch isn't happening even though that's what I want

Random is the lynch today.-

Alt hunting is disgusting to me. If someone wants to maintain the effort of 3000 alts then they can. However I will not consider them experienced in any way because then they can't say what they have done. This game is this game. If you can't formulate reads on this game without knowing who the person is in the background there be problems. In post 1603, SirCakez wrote:

Jfc Varsoon vs Math was terrible to read. Given Varsoon has been a townread all game I'm pretty sure Math is scum here (yes I was wrong earlier about not seeing anything wrong with his posts, his stuff during his 1v1 was garbage), and would lynch there. Random still viable too though.-

this seems logically inconsistentIn post 1578, MathBlade wrote:Random is clearly trying to get a lynch on anyone but himself
There were posts in that time that explain it.
It is simple.
Random calls me scum. Won't vote me. Keeps trying the TNE thing likely scumbuddy Varsoon was pushing. It is as if he doesn't care where his vote goes which is my point. He is trying to get a lynch on me without actually voting but also keeping a door open for TNE. Thus trying to get a lynch on anyone but himself.-

Yes. Because if I am right Cephrir knows I pressure hard. If I see scum I poke it I prod it. I am loud. I bring all of the cards to the table and I have no regrets. If I can open up people's eyes to read my slot rather than sheep we might just have a chance at this. But right now people are chaining up mislynches and it is terribad. In post 1621, Cephrir wrote:

This is a dumb list and has multiple scum on it. I agree in discussing who should action but it should be a town consensus. I town read you but this is full of derp.In post 1630, zMuffinMan wrote:and yes, i am aware that dictating a pool of 5 players pretty much tells scum where to shoot, that is also part of why it's not so bad an idea if the right group of players is actioning (e.g. i'd probably choose pumbaa, genji, nene, tne, varsoon or something like that, dunno, maybe swap one for honey moon - i don't know how likely it is that all those names are town but that doesn't really matter)
IMHO the list should be Muffin, Genji, Honey Moon, Pieguyn, and tne. Cephrir and Varsoon should not be in that list else you give scum the ability to wreck us.-

Unless it is a very distinct shift (I.E. They are posting in another language or posting 280000 fewer posts or suddenly using different sentence structure) this is a horrible way to read someone. Furthermore you would have only established a difference. A difference or similarity in meta isn't what makes someone scum. Their play is what makes someone scum. If someone had a reliable scum tell or town tell they'd have to work on fixing that. Seriously stop trying to use "meta". Like in 1800 (a recent scum game) we fucked with site meta hard and won that. So you do yourself no favors by using "meta" it might as well be praying to rng to give you the right answer. In post 1642, SirCakez wrote:
