In fact, the flavor at the start of the game references this, because in the show, he had his victims write "Did you know, Gods of Death love apples?"
Here, the flavor at gamestart includes the line, "Did you know gods of death love pizza?"
As a person who loves pizza, I felt awkwardly called out.

Win condition does change to the cult win condition when someone is successfully recruited, but otherwise I cannot answer any of those.

We do NOT know how a player's role changes when recruited. Why does ThinkBig think they're made vanilla? Maybe I should go back to voting ThinkBig...
Mod did not say if a player who is given the Death Note gets recruited/has to be cult or not. :/ I would assume 'yes', otherwise this opens a whole can of worms.
It's curious that Snarky says 'killing' is a Death Note action, but leaves out recruiting, which seems to be the case. Regardless, this seems to indicate that there may or may not be other cult actions we don't know about.

Regardless, I think we should proceed as though the Cult Recruit resolves as recruitment would in NAR. That's the big thing here.

I certainly don't think the setup stuff today is obvious enough that it's not worth saying. Cult could easily misjudge how obvious the mechanics they already know are.

Why we don't aim to just lynch recruits? Because as long the death note holder is in a fine position, they can just recruit another player to replace the lynchee.

i didn't agree with the mechanics focused scumread on varsoon. Yume seemed to be playing like she was town. Elena's end of day vote was horrible and their interactions on day 2 were pretty scummy, as well as 1svt towning it up meant that elena seemed to be most likely cult. also the fact that people weren't feeding into the 1v1 between elena and CA particularly but it kept going implied there was cult there.

i agree that peabody is right about grey having the deathnote because i think peabody is the cult that gave it to him. it makes sense for peabody aka beeboy to be the pregame recruit. Although i think fishy has been scummier i doubt they were the pregame. if grey is cult then peabody was in a worse spot yesterday. probably expecting to be today's lynch, he pressures Grey so after Peabody's flip Grey looks more town.
THis assumes that there wasn't a better recruit and grey is cult however. Elena would have been a v good recruit after CA's death and is the most likely person to have the deathnote right now if cult, but I'm not certain on the narrative for it.

Grey is the easy target today so you go there. You were playing as if you didn't have the DN before today, but today is all about lynching a town member for you.
RC could have said any name here and voted before you got on and you would have made a bad reason to also vote there.

You were pushing Elena with CA and even called RC a liar when the wagon swapped to CA. So, I think it's most productive to look for scum who were scum when CA died. We have more information on them, they were around for the scum lynch, and they are probably a bit more likely to hold the Death Note.

Nope. We don't know the rules around passing the DN, but it seems likely that passing has *some* cost to scum; otherwise, the public rules are kinda misleading and silly. So, the best guess is the only pass was CA offloading it.

the only downside seems to be the lack of action. the masons mean that cult needs to take down people as quickly as possible as the lynch pool gets narrowed down.

fishy - while they are cultish, they are unlikely to have been recruited. the way they are the recruit is if varsoon went for a random recruit night 0 to minimize associatives. therefore they are a townlean.
Peabody - cult. I don't really know why I had a town lean on them, they just have been completely unnoticeable. if they've struggled with recruiting they could still have the deathnote.
yesiree - i dont see this not being an attempted recruit. However it could have been wifomed out. if this is recruited it probs has the deathnote.
grey - my choice of lynch today. being culty, and the associatives between him and Peabody lead me to think he has the deathnote.
1svt - other potential cult member. I could see this being gone for if yes isn't. However, their play has been fairly towny, even if their reads are off. I think that I OMGUSed them to a certain extent.

Yessiree - likely culted because he was cleared day 2. I know it's said it's 'too easy', but WIFOM isn't fun. His hammer on Creature was posturing because he changed his mind on Creature without warning on the last second.
RandomMidget - I've had a town read on him based on his reads list similar to mine day 1 but it's possible he was cult day 2 while defending CA.

N1: Pass to Pea

Where at least one of N2 and N3 is "pass". Leaving up to 3 scum.

And even that relies on the assumption that passing does actually take a night (as we don't know how a temporary pass works). That is uncertain, particularly as we've lynched two scum who weren't hugely obvious lynches the day before.

I think the scum are likely to be in Grey/rm/yess. I'm not super-convinced by rm being clear for exercising his ability; all we know is that TB *thought* they would lose it if culted; who knows if that was right. However, rm seems a somewhat unlikely DN holder. I think the cult would most likely park it with yess or Grey.

We can't take any actions on nights after a Kira died, which hamstrung us in terms of being able to kill masons and recruit :/

i think that the masons were ok. the main issue was not being able to take as many actions due to kira deaths etc. We knew Rc and 1svt were masons a couple of nights ago but couldnt take them out.
