In a universe completely apart from our own, there is a void full of emptiness and other stuff voids are full of. This is the home of Cutthulhufish, the supreme elder god of the cuttlefishes. This is not where our story takes place, but the floating cherry flavored octopuses had to be mentioned. They are a favorite snack of elder gods.
Indeed, our story happens in our own universe, in a little town isolated from the currently suffering known world. You see, the black death has returned in a new strain and people are dying left and right.
In this town, there are many who suffer from the plague, but a little church has gained a reputation for all within have yet to be infected. This church is the headquarters of a cult that worships a deity. A mighty god that casts a long, tendril-filled shadow. A god known as Cuttlefish, son of Cutthulhufish!
Cuttlefish is known for his many roles in tentacle fetishes and, as a result, all of his cultists engage in multiple orgies in his honor in hopes of him granting them their wishes. Amongst his most prized disciples, Cuttlefish has given small doses of spices used by Cutthulhufish to enliven the taste of the flying octopuses.
What purpose these spices have is unknown to all but Cuttlefish, but all within the Great Tentacle Cult act in their desire for them… or do they? It has come to pass that such purity from the taint of the bubonic plague's new strain has attracted the attention of unsavory groups seeking to profit from the secret. The cult has been infiltrated, and it's up to the cult to figure out who these false worshippers really are.
To top it off, Cutthluhufish has found about his son's antics with the spice drawer. Cuttlefish, finding out about this, knows for certain that he must organize the cult to grant him enough faith backing to make the use of the spices worthwhile. The only way he can do this is to have the dissent inside his gathering of worshippers removed.
How has he decided to do this? Have his servants kill each other fast enough to have but one faction to serve before dad arrives and kills everyone. The race for survival is underway!
