3. Behaviour - Don’t be a dick. This is a heated game but toxicity will not be tolerated. Attack the play not the player. If your fellow players tell you to stop, you must stop. If you do not stop, I will tell you to stop. If you still do not stop, you will be force-replaced. Asking people to stop voting you or to stop scumhunting you entirely doesn't count for this rule and you may find yourself eliminated if you try it.
4. Don't use tiny text.
5. Provable randomness - is against the rules. Saying that you rolled a dice is fine, using dice tags or random.org is not.
6. Claiming scum - by yourself is fine. Claiming scum with another player is against the rules.
7. Cryptography - is forbidden. Breadcrumbing is okay.
8. Confirmation - You have about 72 hours to confirm your role by PM. Game will start sooner if everyone confirms.
9. Days - All last 7 days. You can VOTE: End of Day to speed up process if simple majority of players (including dead players) vote for it.
10. Activity - You must post at least once every 48 hours or I will Prod you. You then have 24 hours to post in the game thread or I will replace you. If you come back before I find a replacement, you can stay. Players can request me to prod somebody early. This will only count as an official prod if you don't post before you would have been due for a prod. If you get 3 prods you will be replaced automatically.
11. Vacation/Limited Access If you need to be absent for longer than this, you should declare V/LA in bold in the thread like this:
@Mod: I will be v/la until Thursday
. While you are V/LA, you will be prodded once every 48 hours.
12. Prodging - A naked "prod dodge" does not reset the prod timer. To avoid being prodded/replaced for inactivity, include some game advancing content in your prodges, such as "got prodded; xxxx is still scum."
13. Quoting - You may not quote (or copy paste) any private information into the thread, including your role PM and any mod communication.
14. Voting - You must nominate player before voting them by NOMINATE: PLAYER or plainly use VOTE: Player tag to nominate and vote for them automatically.
You cannot unvote but can vote for as many players as you wish. You can only nominate once per day and only if you are alive. You have one execution vote if you die which you can cast.
15. Execution - At end of day, player with most votes on them will be executed if they have simple majority of votes on them (50% of living players + 1 rounded down). Dead players votes and other vote changes don't change amount of needed majority.
16. Night - Night lasts at least 48 hours. The night phase can be shortened if every living player -- even those with no night actions -- agrees to it and if I'm not busy.
17. Action submissions - You may submit actions via PM. If the actions are not submitted by the deadline then you do nothing. If you have compulsive action (for example Demon kill) you will target random player expect yourself. You can change your mind as many times as you like before the deadline.
18. Reminders - If I don't hear from you about your night actions, I'll PM you 24 hours before the deadline. This doesn't count as a prod.
19. Notes PT - Let me know if you want a private thread to store your thoughts and feedback for the other players. This thread will be made public immediately after the game. You may draft posts in your notes PT but you may not talk about your notes PT in public. You definitely may not use the notes PT to demonstrate that you've had a good mindset in private all along; just put your good mindset in public to begin with and keep your notes to yourself.

Game Mechanics
Kills mostly resolved faster, so if player die, their ability stops affecting game and if it's information ability, they don't receive result. It doesh't mean that all Pit-Hug targets get role back, it means that lasting effects are canceled. For example, Philosopher who choosed ability of existing role, make existing role drunk. If Philosopher died afterwards, existing role stops being drunk. Cerenovus madness also go away instantly Cerenovus die.
Again if player dies, their ability has no effect for night and you won't receive information if you die. Expection are some roles like Sage and Klutz as they act after being killed by demon.
Poison and Drunk are mostly same at effect: They remove your ability. You don't know that you are Poisoned or Drunk and you think your ability still work.
For example, Drunk Artist may ask question to moderator in private and will receive answer, but answer mostly unreliable (aka almost random). If you have "Once per game" ability and try to use it while Poisoned or Drunk, you will not regain it after these effects wear off so be careful.
Madness (if it's easier for you just consider it post restriction) forces you to act like you are NOT specific role (In Mutant case, All Outsiders) or like you are specific role (Cerenovus). If you are Mutant, you need to convince other players you are not Outsider. If you are mad by Cerenovus, you need to convince players that you are role which are chosen by Cerenovus. If you fail, mod may execute you and only one execution allowed at day, so it will instantly end day.
Main thing is effort. If you don't try to give a tips that you are Mutant (even undirect one, like answering on question "Are you Mutant" with "Maybe" or silence) or are not actually this role and put effort in your faking, you will not be executed, even if some players may suspect you are mad.
It's also not by any means mod enforced. You may just say whatever you want and accept punishment if you wish.
Some abilities can result in change of your role or alignment or both. In this case you will be notified privately.
If your role is changed for some reason (for example dye Barber), you will enter as New Version of this role. For example, if you and Artist (who wasted their ability) are swapped, you will become new Artist and your ability can be used.
Communication:
Rule is simple: Anyone can speak at any moment, even if dead or night, but not when game is not even started (players confirming).
Every player receives two hoods with players, which are higher and lower of your position on player list for private talks. If you are on edge, you will have hood with player from other side. Dead players lose access to any hoods, and only can talk publically.
Deadline:
Day phase lasts 7 days but can be shortened if simple majority of players (Including Dead) vote for end of phase (VOTE: END OF DAY)
Night phase lasts 2 days but can be shortened if everyone will PM me about this.
Voting:
Every day, living player may nominate any player to Execution with
NOMINATE: PLAYER
or simple VOTE: them to nominate and vote. It will make them avaliable for voting. Votes must be in bold in the format VOTE: Enchant or
Vote: Enchant

You cannot unvote
, but you can vote as many nomineers as you wish.
At end of day, if player received majority of votes (50% of living players + 1 rounded down) and have most votes on them, they will be Executed and marked Dead. If there's two players with same amount of votes on them, or there's not enough votes, it will be considered as Not Execution and day will end.
Dead players can't nominate and only can vote for Execution once. After one vote they lose voting ability. They still can vote for Exiles.

There's was some copypaste errors in Examples of Role PMs (for exact, Minions mention of knowledge of other Minions, which was prepared for bigger sized game and Demons mentioning more minions than intended for same reason).
All errors are now fixed and Examples are fully correct.

I assumed it worked like in actual BotC, but the way the mod worded does make it seem like that. The way it's worded in the official BotC rules allows for duplicate players and roles.

How Mathematician and Vortox would interact. If a Mathematician gets a 0 on the first night and there is a Vortox, does this mean that some other role besides the Mathematician must have had their ability work abnormally?
No. Mathematician can receive 0 in game with Vortox, without any other role being abnormal at night, but it's more because of recursion than actual common sense.
Spoiler: Why
On given example, because no other role is being Abnormal, truth answer would be 0, which is not possible answer due ability of Vortox, therefore answer must be changed, but then it means that Mathematician worked abnormally and truth answer must be 1 instead, which again can't be given due ability of Vortox. Therefore 0 result is plausable even if it would mean that Mathematician didn't work abnormal at first place due recursion resolution because answer was changed at all and 1 are not possible as it's truth in all instances regardless on how you look at recursion.
Therefore any result expect for 1 are reasonable for Mathematician to receive in this situation.
