I'm reading AFFC now, and I'm really liking it. Sansa's storyline is finally fucking interesting, and Dorne is cool, and the House of Black and White is cool, and Brienne is usually cool, and Cersei slowly descending into full-on crazy is entertaining.

All the bullshit Sansa has been through makes her a strong, interesting character. Littlefinger's influence gives her the knowledge and ability to be slick and sneaky, and (most importantly for her character development) I predict he'll give her a tiny bit of a sadistic streak.
I look forward to grownup, in-charge Sansa Stark. Assuming she doesn't get murdered, which would be SUPER LAME.

I think you're right. At some point, Sansa is going to figure it out and either stop him once she gets the picture, or ride the Littlefinger wave until she takes him down herself. She's growing to become a blind spot for him, which is something he's not used to having.

Oh yeah, Sansa in books 1 and 2 is pretty much I AM AN ANGSTY TEEEEEN and nothing else. She starts to show sparks of being less-awful in Book 3, but in Feast she just gets
awesome
. I am incredibly excited for Winds of Winter to watch her arc continue to develop. I fully expect her to be Very Important and Surprisingly Badass.

The sansa chapters were good (IMHO) because of the future-Sansa I can see coming. That and the Sansa-Littlefinger interactions are supremely interesting.
I dunno, I just feel like she's an actual person now, rather than "I AM THE TEENAGERIEST TEENAGER THAT EVER TEENAGERED"

Maybe it's this... I'm still not sold on the future-Sansa. Plus Littlefinger is super-freakin' creepy. That said, I do enjoy reading her chapters, unlike, say, Bran "I'm a tree" Stark.

None of those things make you interested in Sansa-as-character, though. (Except the realism bit, which I can appreciate and understand.) She provided contrast to the plot as an object that the plot revolved around much more than anything else, IMO.

I 100% think that Sansa's character would not work if she wasn't so fucking obnoxious for the first couple of books. She's interesting because she's not "I want to be the queeeeeeeeeeen" anymore; if she had
never
been "I want to be the queeeeeeeeeen" then she wouldn't be a good character now.
The way she was written was important to her development, but it doesn't mean she was entertaining or good when taking the first couple of books by themselves.

Agreed. Suddenly Jaime is just an asshole, I don't get it.
I thought the rest of the episode was quite good; I rather like the Thenn guy, Sam's scenes were just sad (and I don't think they were poorly done, I just think he's a tough character to make interesting in a show where literally every other main character is totally badass), Danaerys' scene was fucking excellent.

I am extremely curious as to how they're going to slot Lady Stoneheart into the show. I hope they don't just forego it, but there's been no discussion at all of Michelle Fairley doing any filming. Perhaps not this season.

Of course there hasn't been discussion. She's "dead". Why would anyone spoil that she's back and doing something?
I'm not saying "why haven't the showrunners discussed it," because duhhhhhhh it would be a spoiler. I'm saying "surely some paparazzo would have noticed her going back to Belfast or wherever those scenes are filmed."

the theory is what Sudo said
the show has the Faceless Man say "there is only one god, and you know who that is" while pointedly looking at a recently deceased guy
Previously, Syrio told Arya "there is only one god, and that is Death."
It's possible that it's just an artifact of them both being Braavosi, but for Faceless Man to
know
that Arya will get the 'one god' reference is interesting.

It has been specifically stated by multiple actors currently sitting in winterfell (ramsay, sansa, theon, among others) that 'the most disturbing scene' thus far will be taking place this season

the ramsay's girltoy drama would be an interesting turn, definitely
FWIW, littlefinger makes a point of letting the audience know that he
doesn't
know that ramsay is a psycho
also, littlefinger parlaying with stannis to have him bring down winterfell sounds lovely except that A) stannis is already going to do that
without
littlefinger's urging and B) Littlefinger legitimately gives a shit about Sansa, I think, and her potentially getting murderated by stannis' troops would be Bad News.
