i voted myself
then i voted cupcake because i wanted scum to kill him
then i voted myloninja because cupcake is probably scum and i wanted scum to kill myloninja instead
then i voted myself because i read rule 7
then i looked at the player list and realised i didn't give a shit who got voted leader
then i voted myloninja again for shits and giggles
i am completely and utterly astonished that myloninja didnt end up getting voted leader, he was clearly the most qualified candidate
Vote: Cupcake
99% sure he rolled scum this game. i may say this every game but this time i'm not joking
please help me lynch him before he is able to post

pretty sure scum (at least if theyre smart) just voted whoever they thought they might vote as town and the majority of votes just happened to land on FA
i doubt they piled onto FA
i doubt they aren't going to truthfully claim who they voted
any smart scum would be playing the long game; whoever gets voted D1 doesn't matter (except insofar as you want to get into the league of extraordinary gentlemuffins). sac the D1 leader position (if scum gets voted, it's good for them, but if not, it doesn't matter), manipulate reads in such a way that you can vote scum on later nights is the long term plan for any smart scum team. there was obviously going to be a mass claim of votes; better to just be truthful about it D1 and manipulate shit later...

well i just think after thousands of games that have been run with pre-game chat, brian decided "you know what? pregame chat sucks and i hate scum and i'm not gonna let them have it" and so he didn't

hmm, ive actually been more forward with stating reads than i initially planned to be in this game so i'm going to stay quiet for a while and observe proceedings and maybe ask questions here or there

because when i give reads, i get people asking why and i don't feel like answering why this early - you either follow my thought process or you don't and i don't particularly care if you don't atm

hmm, you might be correct. but i just don't see cupcake as the sort of person to lie about something like that... i'd find it strange if he made that up for no reason

i dont see how there's any more of a point in unvoting
you seem to have (somehow) figured out that im not scum reading him (maybe you're just a mafia savant and it's not as obvious to others) and he's not in any danger of being lynched so there's effectively no reason to

the link? no. need more data before i talk about that
why they're scum individually? i thought it would be obvious to anyone who'd read their ISOs - if you don't see it, then you don't see it
i'll throw you a bone and say that there's a lack of incisive commentary from either player and that plays a part in it. think about the movitations behind why they ask the particular questions they ask too

it's interesting. it's one point in the sea of posts though and less telling than, say, just reading through either of the times he consecutively spam-posted across a couple pages but said... absolutely nothing worth reading in those posts
i might post from my notes but they're unorganised (chronological) and im not sure if i can be bothered cutting and pasting the parts about number dude and human sequencer into a readable format

i gave my reason fyi
"for shits and giggles"
(also p sure i was right in the first post i made on this - someone in the scum team said "hey, for D1 just vote someone who you think you'd vote if you were town" and whether or not the votes were split or ended up on the same person depends on who's actually scum)
(it may have been 5 separate votes, it may have been 2 or 3 on one person, depends on who's scum and who they think they'd be expected to vote if they were town)

im the only one who said that and no (though why i think they might be scum together matters little in comparison to the fact i have individual scum reads on both)
(though ive only skimmed recent stuff and haven't read through hs's most recent string of posts in any depth)

just do something like pick two people and split votes between them overnight (if one of them is killed, the other becomes leader by default, assuming they amassed the most or second-most votes)
do it publicly before day ends
dont give scum any chances to vote outside of those two people
(and if you disagree with both possible candidates, do not publicly declare who you will be voting for)

that's fine. that's the point, actually...
for example...
pick two people (cerb and sando for example's sake, but put this to a public vote i guess)
if you have a town read on one of them, you vote inside those two names (no excuses - voting outside of these two names would explicitly mean you're not town reading either of them)
if you don't have a town read on one of them, you don't declare who you're voting for today, and this makes for a somewhat interesting scenario if a name outside of the two gets elected leader (because, really, it would have to be a co-ordinated effort)
or...
just force people to vote in those two names and claim it before the day ends so there's a roughly even split (e.g. 10ish people on each name), but this can be kinda iffy if theyre not both universal town reads (and i don't think i've seen someone that's actually a universal town read yet)

in all honesty, i don't give a flying fuck about the leadership mechanic (it's cool and all, but it's a huge distraction in terms of signal:noise ratio in game) and i'll be playing this as though it's mountainous
i was just making a suggestion that made sense to me. i don't care whether or not it gets followed or what actually happens with it
i'm probably not going to be talking about mechanics anymore unless i spot something i think is egregious enough that it requires correction

im uh... like 20 pages behind in terms of paying proper attention to anything anyone has said instead of just skimming. maybe i'll do some reading tonight
