I don't think I usually find unsolved games depressing though? It just means it's more challenging. Lady 2, I'd like to hear your thoughts on pairings. Both what pairings of the remaining people you think would be best, as well as any mechanical thoughts you have on pairings in general. For instance, earlier you said that we shouldn't pair the IC with scum; I'm interested to hear you elaborate on that.

Why is it that people seem to think that Lady 1 should be paired with him (if anyone actually thinks that)? Is our best metric for the partner of the IC someone who is townread, but not too townread? Because under those lines, I might actually put forward Lady 2 instead.

I'm also impartial to the plan that Gentleman 8 put forward himself of simply choosing an obscure townread that he feels he can hard defend. It's really up to him in the end regardless, unless we plan on leaving out our IC.

If that's all you see then you must've missed a lot. I don't blame you, the game is moving fast. Among the ladies, Earth (L5), Salad (L4), and Riku (L7) are townreads, obviously along with Seal (L6). Rosalina (L2) is null to me so far, while the rest (1, 3, 8) all lean slightly on the scum side.

Among the Gentlemen I have less townreads: really only Gentleman 4 and Gentleman 5. Both Gentleman 2 and 7 I feel have been slightly towny recently, although only slightly. As a group I find the Gentlemen less readable and less towny than the Ladies.

Also main takeaway from my interaction with L1 should be that it she isn't townposting she's so absurdly deeply hypnotised herself into thinking she's a townie with great reads that she's roughly indistinguishable from an actual townie with great reads. I'll be around to rant about this sometime postgame if anyone actually wants - if she's scum I'll just feel bad.

I'm pretty sure if we created an AI who thinks exactly the same way as G1, it would end up insisting that bakes beans will cause the apocalypse in the year 2027. Which is to say I don't understand G1's reads or where they came from but I'm sure he's having a good time.

I think G9 switching to shade whichever pair is set to endgame is probably scum motivated. He talks a lot about leaving and acts like he's wary of me leaving but in practice I have this growing feeling like he's trying to create a reality where I can't leave because I can't trust any pairing to be t-t.

I don't really buy the case against G6. I think he's just town. The more I read back over him the more I'm like ya this is town posting - there isn't like...anything that makes me feel like he's more aligned with flipped scum than anyone else. His solving rings sincere to me and I think he's approaching the puzzle in a way that is just really hard to replicate as scum He's town.

L1 is probably town but if she lolbussed then did sweet fuck all and endgamed I'd be like, disappointed, but it would be funny

I like L8 a lot. If she's just charmed me whatever. I haven't really considered her as scum because I haven't really seen anything that's made me want to consider her as scum! She's another one in the G6 vibe where her posting is just like good and has good momentum and I think it's quite hard for scum to replicate exhaustively. I don't dislike her trajectory. Town cool.

G5 is towny enough I think and has a kind of, anti-charisma adjacent style that I don't think comes from a scum mindset. e.g. like waltzing into today asking why he was suspected still resonates with me as a really strange thing to do as scum who's basically set to f2*2. I'll trust whoever's around later to sort this out but he doesn't feel like scum.

L7 is probably town, I feel warmer and warmer about her all the time. G1 is like, I don't know how to read him at all, he doesn't really make sense to me
