I was considering it at the start of the day and it’s partially why I waited to give my opinions on Ranger/osuka. I wanted to see what positions GL would take up first

The Ranger read threw me for a loop at first but idk, I also think his posting about CCS and even his push on Sail D1 is almost like, too good to be scum

I don’t think I’ve ever played with scum!GL before so I guess i don’t really know what he is capable of.

Regardless, it’s not really something I am interested in pursuing today. I think if I am to catch GL it’s going go be by flipping the people GL has taken the hardest stances on. And I think the chance of miseliminating GL today could be game losing

so yeah I mean like I’ve got my eye on him but I’m content to call him town and cross that bridge once I’ve crossed the other ones

First of all, CCS’ tone and expectations about their own claim are not consistent. In 2332 CCS implies that his role is not very good, or at the very least, that claiming it was not going to automatically dissipate his wagon. Then CCS claims and continues to talk down about his role. I don’t think 2818 matches up with the “idc my role is kinda shitty” vibes CCS has been giving off. I don’t think the whole misunderstanding of his role thing is genuine and this is one of the reasons why. If it’s real, why is CCS being like oh I thought I was a really good PR that explains why I was trying everything to get people off my back.

Every single other one of CCS’s posts makes it seem like CCS doesn’t think he has a great role at all! The whole oops I’m not even that good I misunderstood just doesn’t follow when CCS was already down on his own claim. It seems much more like “oh this is how a townie should act!”

This is not to mention BlueSnakelet’s 233, which Dusa and GL have already pointed out but I don’t think people actually understand? CCS’s claim is in Group 1 or Group 2. *Even* if BlueSnakelet thought his role was powerful enough to fit in Group 2 (it certainly isn’t in Group 3), BS submitted for 100 TPR D1. In his very own instructions for Group 2, BS said these roles should not spend more than 100 TPR. According to CCS, their role would require 60 points for the 2nd shot. That means BS committed to spending OVER 100 points for a role that is probably at the very bottom of Group 2 at best.

I don’t think BS would have done this. I think CCS is scum whose fakeclaim instinct was to sunk-cost-fallacy us. (he’s already submitted for a bunch of TPR so we should let him live so he can use it)

Also, like, I don’t know if CCS has a fake claim or just a flavor name but I find it extremely suspect that he already knew scum got access to free flavor names in Datisi’s Cafe. I don’t know about you, but when I’m checking out past runs of a series when I’m thinking about joining a game, what kind of fake claims scum get isn’t a priority for me to check. Calling this out in 2915 feels like trying to overly maintain consistency and possibly discredit the idea he’s reading from a fake claim this game if he has one?

Town doesn’t worry that much about breaking the rules when they are trying to prove they are town. They don’t ask permission from the thread to ask the mod about their own role. If you know you are town you just share everything you know.
