It was mainly a theory that they were scum together. There are other factors involved. I've felt like some of their interactions have felt a bit like theatre and the whole harming ceejay randomly felt really performative like distancing or something

It's not like Aventurine has spent the past page waxing nostalgic about ceejay being town and demanding everyone add him to their coalitions. On the contrary Aventurine has staunchly refused to explain why it wanted ceejay in its coalition. And if Aventurine is scum with ceejay and just needs one of them in the coalition, then I don't see why Aventurine would need to shoehorn ceejay into its coalition at all - after all, Aventurine will already be in its own coalition.

I don't think Aventurine has a good reason to include ceejay so to me it feels like he's trying to force him in. And in regards to your second point, I think he would have to force ceejay in. Aventurine seems to be more sussed than ceejay

Out of the two not on my list. I feel more strongly about Aventurine. I could be wrong on Umlaut/experience. Umlaut's posting was fine but I'll admit I'm heavily driven by recency bias and exp's has not done anything to massage that aspect...

If the scum team is Aven/exp, they are on track to lose, yet aren't really doing anything to change course. So that does give me some pause. I think I'll start townreading the mentality of looking for a plausible coalition without including oneself in it more.

Implosion: plays jungle fiddle, posts in chat some boring optimized stuff about how he times the use of Drain Life in the jungle to get the most experience. No aggressive play early but then has really tanky and damaging crowstorm ults lategame
May: is playing Tristana because she thinks Tristana is cute and she wants to play a girl character and a fun character. Misses all of her last hits which usually gets her bullied but no one bullied her in chat. Buys an extra dorans item early because she's not confident but that ruins Tristana's scaling. Black has to pick up a mejai's soul stealer to try to create a win condition but she doesn't say anything about it.
Moros: is playing Leona support because implosion told it that Leona support pins well for crowstorms. Actually has 3172 games on thresh and would have shredded lane with thresh but is playing Leona for the fourth time ever to be polite and is picking up the lines immediately. Buys wards. Moved forward and threatens bops at the right times that keep May from killing herself trying to get some greedy creep kills.
Tiredperson: is playing green toplane. Solid pick, never needs back up because he can use the Regen ability cleverly. Takes tower sooner than later and starts moving to other lanes. Picks up boots of mobility instead of trying to be a solo hero or any of that

Looking over the progression, it doesn't seem like implosion ever pushes for May to be in it. He expresses doubt about her in 404 and then is real hedgy about the read in 405. He first shows interest in putting her in shortly after in 477. He never actually heals May though, and just kinda goes along with other people around him putting her in their coalitions. Eventually he agrees with the coalition that has her in it but I think if he were to argue too hard about her being in then it would have probably looked weird? I don't think it's optimal for both scum to be in but I don't think implosion going along with the general rising support of her suggests they are unpartnered

I'm wondering if the advantage you get from splitting is large enough to make you do the same thing every time you play. I'm bad at mechanics so I'm not sure, but to me it seems like it's only an advantage in the short term. There's a larger chance that one of you gets faded in the first few Days but after one of you is gone it's fair game. Scum could be in either group at that point

I also think it would be advantageous for you to do something different this game, so you can make the exact argument you're making now. I'm not really sure if that was the plan here though. I think if I'm right then coalition!May gained so much momentum that you couldn't stop it

I don't think I'm buying implosion's "I probably wouldn't do this as scum" argument, and I don't think the disadvantage of having both scum on the coalition is big enough for me to consider the pair unlikely. I think the sequence of [vaguely townread each other and get in the coalition together>>>use townreads on each other to try to survive 40% chance one is faded D1>>>try to survive 50% chance one is faded D2>>>win D3 or go into an F3 with the coalition/splitting argument on their side ] is completely viable as an alternative to splitting. And I think they were both townread enough in the coalition phase to pull it off

Together scenario:

-if town is faded it's gg. If scum is faded and another outsider gets shot...

Even if scum is faded D1, it turns into STTT | TTT and a gamestate where people should theoretically be looking at the outsiders. Last scum is generally townread and just picks people off from the comfort of the coalition until F3

Split scenario:

-town gets faded D1, scum shoots in outsiders

TTTS | TTS
-town gets faded D2, scum shoots in outsiders

TTS | TS
-this is a better situation for scum than the D3 in the together scenario, which is where the advantage comes in. If scum gets faded here then outsider scum has to decide whether to hit in the coalition or the other outsider. T | TS and TT | S are interesting F3s

So yes, I fully agree it's optimal to split, but the together scenario is definitely a decent path to victory

I have the opposite take I am mafia with implosion in addition to Black and Moros this is discussed in my first post and our probability of victory is 98%

I’m not sure if other information has been presented but 783 just seemed odd coming from town and I feel some of their other logic is not gelling with my idea of town.
