Mid Jan of this year tbh.
I used it as a way of dealing with stress.
Then I realized it worked and then wondered if it could help me have fun in mafia games again.
I came back to mafia trying it and I started to have fun.
So I kept smoking ever since and enjoy mafia more.
If I realize that if I just try to enjoy mafia.
The only thing that truely stops me from having fun in mafia is randing scum because I try so hard to win that it becomes stressful and makes me panic and not enjoy the game anymore.
I actually hate playing scum, its legit never fun because for someone like me, who has a lot of issues making sure that I have to be liked all of the time, when I get wagoned like this I lose my fucking mind.
So I only play to have fun now.

But I'll still vote and want to lynch nero cain in every single game I play with him because he's not fun and he's bad.

That’s great man. I don't smoke at all any more really, not because I suddenly started disliking it or anything, but I lost connections to get it and kind of just got out of the habit. I'm holding out for it to be legal here so I can just have it and use it occasionally like a normal person instead of feeling like a fucking criminal for enjoying it.

When I first started smoking I was a senior in high school, had already been accepted to my college of choice and didn't have a care in the world. Smoking made me feel fantastic because it would give me a kind of internal, introspective perspective on myself and my feelings, and I could just sit back and do nothing (or do the things I enjoyed) and feel totally carefree and fantastic, it sort of enhanced the feelings I already had in life. I smoked on and off throughout college, and loved being active and productive while smoking, working out, cleaning, going for walks, etc. I did very well in school and it didn't get in the way of my grades or success, once again enhancing my already mostly good feelings.

Then graduation started coming closer, and I finally left school, and suddenly I was full of self doubt about the future and where I was going and what I was doing with my life, and smoking would bring all these feelings to the front of my mind and give me terrible anxiety. It was worse if I was around people, because I couldn't turn these anxious thoughts off and couldn't socialize or talk to people because I was so busy going over every aspect of my life that needed improvement.

Weed is an amazing thing, capable of really wonderful effects, and it affects everyone differently, but its main psychological effect for a lot of people is a very introspective mental state that can be fantastic if you're in a good place in life, or very bad if you're not too happy with certain things. This is all from personal experience though!

Didn’t get a chance to post before the Alisae’s lynch and I had a response for something Ari said.

I could easily see Flippity Nippity as scum tho.

Yeah his entrance was terrible. RVS was long over at the time and it’s not like he didn’t know. He commented on Nero’s 5 before making a vote for insomnia he deemed to be solely due to RVS. To me it feels he scanned the thread for his name before making that vote and deemed it safe to make it in order to stay under the radar.

I feel he was still attempting to do it after he asks insomnia how did a wagon grow on him in 509. Insomnia states what happened shortly after in 511. We don’t hear from Flippy until 200 posts later where he mentions he’s been scum reading Firebringer (729) but doesn’t want to vote him. Now here I expect an unvote from Flippy because it was an RVS vote and there was no mention of why he thought insomnia could be scum or if he was sheeping Alisae.

He hasn’t really done much since then and awkwardly skated around commentating on Alisae. Seems like a likely partner in my opinion.

Scum!worm has bad staged reads. Something similar to his town game is that he stays on one person but the person he stays on as scum just doesn’t feel right. this game he was scum and was going after a town neighborizor if I remember correctly. PP was in that game too.
Our game now he was going after ali who is now confirmed scum so for rn worm is not scum. He doesn’t bus his partner especially if he doesn’t have to. From what i remember of worms iso whenever he checked in it was to say why is ali not being voted, from pretty early on too. Also from the time ali was still alive & worm was going after him it felt right cos ali was my main sr and worm was pushing him.
So i guess my read on worm kinda depends on my reads & if our reads align

ok LUV can we talk about this? I think this thought process is strange; like, you think someone fearkilled Enigma because they were on the second-bottom line of their readslist? I really don't think that's a common thing and you seemed to discard this line of reasoning very quickly.

I don’t think it’s uncommon. I don’t feel this was an obvious night kill which is why I’m taking it into consideration. Enigma wasn’t universally town read, wasn’t a claimed PR, and didn’t crumb or drop any hints of being a PR as far as I can see. And in my experience, scum rarely make suboptimal kills with the intent to muddy night kill analysis. So I think his reads are the only thing that would make sense.

I don't think it was that much? they had probably like 3-4 posts at each other if I remember right. Compared to some people I ruled out, and the way those were at each other were shitpost kind of posts that are easier to just throw in the game.

I don't think the coaching bit was strange and not something I really took notice. I think their shit posting + worm push wasn't authentically done. At least not from worm perspective. So I don't know what to tell u here.

If I had a five bulletproof paragraph analysis on dr worm/alisae interactions that made me think this, I would explain it but a lot is just going of how I feel they interacted and my own thoughts on dr worm being scum independently. Like I don't believe dr worm is doing scumhunting here. It seems like a going through the motions approach. Maybe ali/worm aren't buddies but it seems to fit with how I expect ali to act with a scumbuddy loosely.

I don’t recall a push on Alisae from Worm. Just a lot of agreeing and sheeping. I went back and I couldn’t really get anything out of how he did that as he just naked voted and echo’d thoughts on the signaling case.

He’s not scum hunting but I don’t think that’s alignment indicative. It’s also harder to gauge when it can be due to his gimmick.

i feel like this from firebringer is on the mark; firebringer is saying that alisae could be lying after they got lynched. i think this is a very reasonable thing to believe, and even if i'm misconsidering something which i really don't think i am, it shouldn't be particularly difficult to see where Firebringer is coming from here. instead, LUV continues to push. looking at the context, just before this happened, luv was pushing firebringer because luv thought fire was ignoring selective things ali did. to me this appears as if luv has realized his original push was mistaken, but instead of reconsidering, he just tries to shift onto something else, because he wants to be pushing firebringer in this situation.

But instead he focuses on FB using the word push and saying that Worm not scumhunting is NAI. i think town!luv would probably want to sort FB more than scum!luv (especially assuming luv isn't alipartner, which does seem to be the case; in that case there's just sk and town left and we can basically expect a normal scum attitude from scum, at this point in time, unless scum factions have more than 2 members which I wouldn't think would be the case, with these kinds of numbers.)

My Baezu case isn’t solely based on what Alisae said in Twlight. It’s enhanced by it though. I was one of the first people to express a scum read on her slot. Why are you acting as if I wasn’t voting for Baezu the majority of Day 1?

My justification is that Alisae is a very emotional player. They allow their emotions to show - people have always been easily able to tell if they are happy, sad, angry, etc by what they say, or how they’ve acted or composed themselves. They wear their heart on their sleeve if you will. This leads me to believe that the possibility I’m considering is a likely one.

As for scum playing to their win-condition, how much of that can really apply to Alisae? They were playing the too scummy to be scum card.

I think you’re misunderstanding the exchange I had with Fire. I thought he said not to put stock into Alisae as a whole. He clarified that he meant only the posts they made in Twlight. I questioned that. So yeah, in a way it does look like I was trying to redirect attention but shortly after, I cleared up the confusion. I wasn’t trying to redirect but just continue to question his thought process after he clarified what he said. So I guess I communicated poorly even though I don’t think I did.

I think you’re focusing way too much on the strength or the placement of said reads rather than the accuracy of said reads. Or one being on the right track. Fire and Worm are just one tier above Elephant. This could mean they’re null to leaning scum to him or they’re scum reads but not as strong. He’s still either on the right track or thinks they’re scum. Town get killed for their intuition all the time. Town get killed for having correct reads all the time, even if they aren’t shown to have strong conviction or reasoning behind them or seem not capable of pushing and getting their scum reads lynched. Take my hydra partner Creature for example.

You may have been voting Baezu for most of d1 but you never stated a reason for that, as far as I'm aware, so it's still correct that Alisae's twilight posts are the only reason that you've talked about and I don't think this invalidates anything that I said.

I think there's a big difference between using a tactic that you don't agree with and publicly posting honest information about your scumbuddy without attempt to WIFOM which is what you're implying. One is play that you don't agree with and one is reportable.

Just one tier is quite a large distinction when there are four tiers, wouldn't you agree? And placement and strength are basically the core of accuracy? Like, putting players on the correct placement in your list and having enough conviction to actually care about the read are essentially what accuracy is. If a player isn't really scumreading the scum how are they accurate?

I've never seen scum kill anyone for nullreading them, no. I could perhaps see it if scum were extremely townread; I don't think this at all applies to Fire and Worm d1 however.

He could've identified the other team or a 3p maybe but I don't think that's worth risking. And I mean gutreads are gutreads; I never get gut PR reads on anyone and don't really know what to look for but I wouldn't be surprised if someone who knew Enigma felt he was a little off and therefore scum or PR. I don't think this is too important of discussion anyway as it was kind of a side comment in my case rather than a point against you.

Alisae didn’t directly name their partner. Alisae just talked about their partner’s play out of frustration. Specifically the insistence on not listening to their reads and the bad plays he or she made. If you’re emotional and struggle with keeping those emotions in check like they do, it’s easy to go off the handle and say and do things you will probably regret later. Everything about 1261 screams genuine salt to me and is by no means game throwing or reportable.

My own experiences made me question Fire. His extensive experience with Alisae made me question Fire.

The template that Enigma used is the classic null town and null scum read list. It’s a common way of giving reads and while I don’t agree with it, it’s very transparent in where someone stands.

Town: {A, B, C, D}
Nulltown: {E, F}
Null: {G}
Nullscum: {H, I, J}
Scum: {K}

It’s not a large distinction in my opinion. If we took at look at 1196 one more time, we see that Enigma was leaning scum more than null than on Fire and Worm. The whole tier I would argue could be consider that as he had no one in his null pile and the people he had in the tier above that all have a solid case for being null-town.
