I have my own reasons for suspecting GGG right now, but wanted to see if you had anything more compelling. Currently I'm concerned that he's in the middle-ish range on postcount, but he seems fixated on the claimed survivors for all of that. Especially now that it's evident that we have a dayvig or daykilling role of some sort in the game, the obsession seems problematic and an easy way to avoid commenting on the rest of the game i.e. who could be scum (and therefore the bigger threat). To be fair, there are a couple posts of his that fall outside of that pattern, but they're not particularly compelling, either.

ZZZX is kind of the same deal but with UT instead of the survivors. Also noting an unnecessary defense of shos here in 440 which sticks out as practically his only non UT-focused post of any content-worth whatsoever. Gut tells me he could just be town having a dumb moment though; the alternating between not really saying anything of value and then getting mad when people ignore him because he's not really saying anything of value makes me wonder if he just thinks he's contributing more than he is. Also, the claim. Just ... why? What malfunctioning configuration of neurons and synapses would make you think that was a good idea?

And dram is rapidly creeping up into similar territory, too.

I'd vote for Skitty if I had to today but I wouldn't vote for MM, and I'm in favor of them being taken out by the dayvig instead if possible while we hunt for actual scum. More association tell info on the wagons that way, and we can always lynch the claimed 3rd parties anytime before lylo if we reassess and decide that's necessary.

It's generally pretty difficult to separate emotions and mafia, as demonstrated by you mixing the two as we speak. There isn't really anything wrong with that: using emotions to scumhunt/manipulate is as valid of an approach as the tactic of using rhetoric and logic to accomplish those same two things.

@ooba: I see no reason to work under the assumption of a cult with Untrod Tripod dead. It's certainly possible, as I explained before, but so is a Serial Killer, second mafia faction, and an infinite number of possibilities. UT could be the only source of a cult, or there could already be one. I don't know that it's possible to determine one way or the other without flip or confirmation.

Upon reflection, it would seem slightly overpowered if a cultist already exists that can convert people, AND UT could convert people.

it's not someone thinking someone is coaching per se. it's essentially just specious argumentation. the argument falls apart bc with a shos/Skitty team shos has no reason to yell at Skitty for claiming survivor _after_ Skitty actually claimed, since it wouldn't actually help him any, but he's conveniently ignoring that and instead acting like they're scum bc there's "no town motivation" in shos' statement.

I think it's just as likely shos' comment was just an offhand remark; town don't necessarily do 100% town motivated things all the time, so acting like they do feels misguided at best and completely contrived at worst. I also think his conviction about it is completely misplaced.
