i think you might be scum, friend. i particularly didn't like that you flipped your read on sangres after their reads list. i disliked sangres scum reads (in ooba and well, at the time BRO - i thought bro was town).

i mentioned in the caprica thread though, that even if bro flipped scum, i still thought sangres push on them could be a bus.

I'm giving the benefit of the doubt because I think it might be hard to engage when you're not able to post in the thread. These guys are by far not the only ones to have been confused or "confused" by the difference between show-Cylons and people with Cylon flavour in their role PMs.

I'm curious about the scumreads on Sangres for having a scumread on BRO for what is essentially the same reason I thought BRO was likely scum. I haven't decided who I would like screened today, but Sangres would still be high on that list.

I'm going to guess no. The wording of the role PM seems to indicate that if you are human, you are town. Cylons (in THIS game, not in the show) are Cylons. It seems likely to me that you could be a show-Cylon and a game-Human, but I think the wording of the win condition means that all Cylons must be scum and all humans must be town.

i was coming on to make a post directed at nero, who has TWL as scum.

i started getting my doubts just recently, so i went back to the caprica private thread to re read it.
and ya, AP and WS were both chatting in real time about their reads - regarding tammy mostly. and also, nero & RIP.
and their conversation flowed nicely.

i ended up seeing very similar things to WS, ie - Andrius being scummy at the beginning. not being sure of sangres.


i can see how they might be good for a screen, because i think maybe they can come across as serious, so difficult to read?
idk, i think they are town tho.

i've changed my mind on BooKitty, now in light of BRO and ooba being scum;

looking at her ISO, she has main pivots of high focus, on only several things.

-first one was - Nero and his non voting thing.
-second was BRO, after he claimed Cylon
-third was the focus on town making sure to screen <-she was talking about it quite a bit.
-fourth was still about screening, but having a theory that a town leader should come forward to screen themselves, so that they can ..lead town.
^this came after she said a few times that she was cool with being screened.


BooKitty, you haven't really tapped into other players and given out your reads.

i have a bit of a tinfoil hat theory that Bookitty & Nikanor could have been playing kind of a good cop/bad cop on BRO.

it started with ooba making a small scene in regards to BRO's claim. then Bookitty.

if Nikanor was scum with them, maybe he thought to take a different approach (in which he did - he said he was in the same boat as BRO with having a character that was a Cylon on the show)

@mantis: I certainly think Nero isn't lying about his restriction. I would kind of like him to flavor claim since I think mechanics are actually making a lot of sense with what I'd expect this game. I think a sleeper agent effectively weakens scum early game just fine w/o a voting restriction. If we are all town, then its likely 13:4 at D1 and that gets balanced by having 4 townies join the game and one townie becoming scum.

I can't remember who mentioned it earlier, but I did like the good cop bad cop theory regarding Boo earlier. I'm not really suspicious of Boo for that as much as I am with her "I'm not sure if Cylons=scum" and her seeming so focused on calling Bro scum for his flavor. I'm just not feeling as good about her right now as I think I should be and don't think she's a terrible option to explore.

Last game I played, she was scum with me and I think she is playing a different game here. (although that view may be scewed) I also got a really town vibe off of her in my interactions with her day 1.

That said, a screen in her direction, may be somewhat useful, regardless.

First of all, I didn't say "I would have lynched BRO if I knew I was a show cylon". I said I wouldn't have been so reticent to vote him, because I'd have first hand information on what I saw as the biggest point against BRO. I never opposed to the BRO lynch, even though I didn't like the push on him. I always considered it and knowing I was a show cylon with no indication of it in the role PM, confirming the argument that he was lying about his PM, might have given me a small push to realize he was indeed scum and vote him sooner.

And what are your other reasons to suspect me?

I don't like how you're so convincingly pushing for my lynch, with exaggerated negative misinterpretations of my posts and claims of other unknown reasons. I also don't like that you're pushing me but not confronting me with your reasons. You're not trying to understand, but doing the opposite. I don't associate this behavior with town you, especially town Ffery and I'd vote you if you weren't already locked for screening.

This seems pretty nullish to me. I think fake frustration or being frustrated over something that there's not really a need to be frustrated over is scummy. True, Mala seems frustrated for no good reason all the time...like that last game we played, there was a player named Neil and according to his own words (in endgame) he had decided to intentionally play scummy to not get shot. Well during the course of the game I suspected Neil who was basically baiting me into thinking he was scum...so anyways, Mala just started throwing a fit and yelling at me b/c I didn't have the same inside information that she had but I would think that her being "frustrated" would carry over to her being scum or are you saying that when she is scum she doesn't show frustration? Like I haven't (and don't really have any intention to) metadive her and I don't remember playing with her as scum so please explain the differences between malatown and malascum.

Sangres hasn't posted the town stuff they see in LLD. They've pretty much dropped off the radar ever since the screen was locked on them, which doesn't put them in a good light.

I don't like the SnowStorm wagon. The points LLD brought up concerning his voting patterns aren't convincing me. I ISO'd him and I liked his explanation of why he moved to the BRO wagon.

Speaking of voting patterns, Porochaz's voting patterns late day one are strange. A few days away from deadline, he voted LLD, voted BRO (L-2 vote), voted NAA to try to get another wagon going even though it was late in the day, and then unvoted all in the span of several hours. He never did end up voting for anyone. I'm wondering if he was trying to get another wagon to stick while at the same time trying to make it look like he thought BRO may be kinda scummy.

I really want TWL to answer my question regarding their reads on me and ooba before, after, and around the time Brian Skies came out with his guilty on ooba.

LLD is doing more now, but I don't like her push on SnowStorm and I wonder if her newfound activity (such as it is) is only because pressure was placed on her.

If I could vote right now, it would probably be TWL. I agree with Nero that the fake guilty thing was weird and connected to that, even though they had a scum read on me they never voted for me and their reads on ooba and me were never explained beyond, "I dunno, gut I guess."

but remember you said before - regarding sangres, that they weren't really reaching out to you earlier, and that was kind of a little flag for you. i suppose i'm wondering why as well, why nacho hasn't come in here and been more active. whenever i play with him, he reads me spot on. (except for 1 time when i was scum and he was wrong, but then died on n1 or n2, so was never able to update his read). he hasn't done that at all this game. i guess it doesn't help that i've been pushing on them?

I have a very big concern which was just recently raised about you and your play... The unvote of LLD and the town read on LLD/SnowStorm is super sketchy for a bunch of reasons...

1) You didn't follow it up with any notable reads
2) You didn't start or join another wagon
3) You're the alternative lynch right now

In my position, it makes a lot of sense to try to get a wagon going on you, because I have a stronger scum read on you than either LLD or SnowStorm. If the wagon were to fail, I'm still pretty confident there would be a lynch today... And I'm by no means certain about my LLD read. Where your position differs is, if LLD isn't lynched today, you're getting lynched... You should know 100% whether or not that is a better lynch for town. If I were in your position, I would be pushing LLD because _ANYONE_ is better than me. I don't have a stronger town read on Toogeloo than I do on myself (even though he's _pretty much_ confirmed).

The flip floppy play today is just making me more confident in my initial read, it looks like you don't know what to do and you're scrambling to find someone who looks more scummy than you. My biggest issue with it is, your reads seem to be coming from a completely different perspective. I don't agree with Nikanor's reads, but I can see where he's coming from... For Sangres, Nero Cain and ValiliaRei, I don't understand how those are even reads at this stage. Which leads me to believe that you have additional information which is making certain people (who should be potential reads) seem townier than they are.

LLD i'll admit i'm being more wishy washy on, because there has been times where i'm thinking that she's just trying to make the appearance of being nonchalant, uncaring town. but then i look at her ISO, and i wonder if she actually really is just slightly uninterested in the game. I thought you were town initially, but there are a couple things that worry me.

- I remember you being a much more tentative player than you're playing in this game. On the flipside, I remember you being more tentative as scum than as town, but it was a very blurred distinction to me. At any rate, your play has changed. I wanted Nacho's thoughts, but he's pretty far behind at this point and I'm not sure he'll have a chance to catch up before the day ends.

- Your paranoia is bothering me, especially the way you keep bringing up GF, like you're setting up to keep at this after we're screened.

- your argument for why we're gf - that we came into the game wanting to be screened pretty much puts the lie to any authority you'd have about knowing my scumgame. One thing I'm not as scum is blatant. If we were GF I don't think we'd have to push at all to be screened.
