You know, the best way to hide Trump's identity is to just not talk about him.

I'm going to break this down for you.

Mafia were told explicitly that Trump is a role they need to kill. Town were told not to give it away. The best way to deny any useful information to the scumteam is to not talk about it. This is very basic play that anyone who has played an Assassins in the Palace game or one of its many variants should know.

Scum obviously know this. They also probably know their best opportunity to get any information is at the beginning of the game during the giant clusterfuck that always happens and is already happening right now. Who do they send? The guy with the newbie join date so that he can easily pull out if things get dicey. "He's new, he doesn't know any better." No.

"Oh, you're just being paranoid. How can you think scum would do something like this?"

Because they sent Greynarl to talk about multiball in StreetRacers: Las Vegas. This is the scum qt.

At first I thought Grey was just being bad, but after seeing the 'mason claims' pile onto me, I got reminded of StreetRacers, and now I think Grey is just scum.

i kind of feel this is a scum analysis of this situation?

I don't know why you started by saying what mafia was "explicitly" told....we were all told...

Ugh.
I am not voting brian now but damn i will hate it if arthur and spiffeh are right.

Me and him even have a hydra together. Yes him "sheeping the masons" does remind me of Open 665 where he hardcore buddied up to me as scum because he thought I was a mason when I wasn't but Grey isn't really a newbie. Like, looking at this from your PoV you see looked at the join date and saw "newbie" but it just seems off to me that you don't consider the possibility of him being an alt.

Point is: Don't misjudge Grey for a newbie; he's not. I find it concerning you're trying to discredit him as a newbie.
If he's not an alt, then I definitely want to lynch him.

1) Scum bus.
2) Desp is the one claiming to be able to read Formerfish with 100% accuracy. It's strange, but there are indeed pairs who can do this.

Syryana was pushing Formerfish but wouldn't vote him.

Wraith has nothing in his iso except isos and one post here. Everything about that post just feels scummy to me. He starts off with 'I don't see how people scumread Brian' but then slowly progresses into a scumread and votes me in a way that it looks like he was setting himself up to jump off. There isn't anything there that looks like genuine town scumhunting and just looks like him trying to blend in by posting several reactionary gif's and talking shit about other people's reads without really delving into anything.

@Tammy: Not that I would know of. There is only one thing I can think of, but I don't know why it would prevent an action from going through. I guess it depends on what the action is. I was also selected for early voting by something, which is why my vote won't move. So it could also be related to that (or something else entirely).

I want to force Brian to vote another player in the game to test his permanent vote claim. If it is, that vote is negative utility that likely happened to Brian and locked into us. If his vote moves, then he's a lying sack of shit who needs to explain how he could early vote without posting.

Wraith is my preferred lynch for the day.

Titus lynch is okay. Tammy agreeing with me that their one post looks fake makes me more confident in my read there.

As far as Vax goes, 337 is suspicious, but it's not a read I'm confident in.

Third on the wagon. This was a wagon scum could coast on. Scum being on the back or off entirely makes more sense.

Also this.

I do have a townread on Spiffeh, by the way. As well as Pine and bundle of Sticks.

I still think Wraith and Syryana are super suspect for the way they avoided the wagon. I'd vote one of them, but I can't.
I avoided the wagon because it was obviously terrible and groundless.
What're your reads?
See above. I was pretty suspicious of Desperado for starting that awful wagon yesterday but I believe his claim.

Firebringer was pretty obvtown, he was trying really hard to look scummy joining that wagon and I feel like it was bait to draw votes, and that he didn't seriously believe in the FF wagon but it got out of hand too quickly for him to reverse course.
Wtf? Your only reads are on confirmed town?

I don't like that slot, but the only games I remember him being in were Desert Kingdom, where he was lynchbait, and Graveyard Shift Mafia where he was lurking scum (and Reck wouldn't let me lynch him to redeem myself).

Why is Grey scum?
That read is so page 2. It had to do with his opening post that I thought was him trying to draw information on Trump's identity. I also don't like his vote onto Formerfish where it seemed like he was trying to tie himself to that slot (I don't understand what my vote on Formerfish had to do with him at all), or get me to unvote (but the latter doesn't really make sense from the perspective of scum). I didn't like Ali's buddying of the Grey slot, or her reasoning for leaving the Formerfish wagon (part of the reason they were my biggest scumread). It felt like Ali was looking for an easy excuse to leave the wagon. The Grey slot is a bit of a stale read and there are slots I suspect more.

Staleness is only relevant when referring to townreads. Scum can and do lurk out suspicion.

I don't buy you losing interest in scumreading me simply because time passed.
Scum lurking out suspicion is definitely a thing, but you don't get to tell me how I feel about my own reads. The staleness has to do with me finding other players scummier, which I said, and the game exploding. Time has nothing to do with it.

The rest of your posts were pretty boring. I also wonder if this is how other players felt when I used to make wall posts like these.

I think Spiffeh is town, but I'm highly skeptical of the claimed doc result at the beginning of the day. I've never seen a doc be told they saved their target from a kill, much less be able to anonymously announce it to the rest of the playerlist. I'm also not a fan of all the players just going 'uh huh, yeah, that sounds legit' and just using it as a reason to cross Spiffeh off as town.

I don't really think the 'doc protect' has anything to do with Desp, unless you think players can take multiple actions in the same night. And from Desp's posts, I got the feeling he hasn't used it yet.

If scum have a doctor (or even if they don't), they can pretend to have their kill blocked, wk spiffeh, and attack the people on the FF wagon. It not only makes their doctor seem more plausible, but draws attention away from them being off the wagon. Or that's what I've been theorizing.

Personally, I think killing someone off a wagon and having them flip town is something scum would do to make the players on a wagon look worse. Even if you think the doc announcement is real, why else would you think Spiffeh would be attacked/protected/etc (there are probably a lot of good reasons why Spiffeh would be killed, but I'm mostly concerned about why him specifically and not someone else)? Either way, I may have gone just a bit too deep, but I'm still pretty skeptical about it.

Out of curiosity, when did you receive your failed cop result? Was it during the time between Night 1 and Day 2, or after Day 2 already opened?

If other people react to their claims, isn't that more indicative of the people reacting rather than Spiffeh/SAD? Why do you think other people reacting is even indicative of their alignment? I know you said you couldn't see them both being scum with each other, but that still leaves open the possibility of one of them being scum. So why give them
both
townpoints for it?
Also, none of these questions were rhetorical. Please answer them.

I THINK I see waht your talking about, but honestly I'm still lost.

If spiffeh and SAD were both scum and claimed masons, taht seems liek one heel of a gambit. It connects them so if one dies the other is suspect. If one or the other is scum and the other town and they claim masons, that just doesn't make sense. Why would town freely accept this fake mason claim? If they are both town teh same thing applies, because they really dont know each others alignment, and would be hesitant to accept such a fake claim.

I was already town reading SAD before this, and spiffeh comes off better from the exchange becase he tells SAD to cut it out, which I dont think he would do in the main thread if they were scum.

Oh now I see, you think SAD could be scum in this scenario? I don't buy it. I think the problem is, is that I didnt already state I was town reading SAD from yesterday. when I spoke of giving them town points for this interaction.

I hope this answers your question.
Yeah this is fine. But my read on SAD is irrelevant to me just wanting to figure out whether your line of logic was contrived.

Yeah I was wondering if this is what they were claiming too and then was trying to figure out what that meant for the make up of the scum team and how much I could trust any results I got.
XXXYZY whatever seemed to be implying he had role knowledge or something of my alignment and seemed like weird buddying to me, but I didn't want to call attention to it if that was the case/

Fedora - Ali's reason for avoiding the Day 1 wagon still doesn't sit well with me. You coming in and saying you had reads on Spiffeh and Tammy that were dependent on each other still makes no sense to me. Your slot's insistence on reading Kats and Albert just based on one other game is scummy to me. Ali saying she read Cyberpunk and that it was some 'smoking gun' or that he all of a sudden was an authority on Albert because of it feels wrong.

Xyxyxxy - Not a strong read. I can see this slot being town, but I can just as easily see them as floating scum trying to hold onto a shit read, especially if you're scum.

Wraith - Despite Nacho's insistence on this guy being a bro, I haven't liked his recent posting. His reasoning for being on the Hocho wagon doesn't sit well with me as I don't think it's as clear cut as 'Katsuki or Desp is lying.' I also don't like him jumping on Grey's random crackpot theory that Desp is lying here and sticking to it when there's no reason to think Desp could be. Also, I don't think Desp deciding to protect Kats or whatever is relevant to Kats' alignment.

Hocho - Not a strong read, but don't have any reason to think he's town or oppose his wagon.

Albert - I'm not an authority on reading him, but I agree with Spiffeh that his interactions with you feel a lot to be desired. It felt like a bus when I first read them, and I don't like the way you're accusing him of treating you like shit when I feel like he's been trying to avoid you and not be toxic (personally, I like playing with Albert, but that fact a lot of people don't is still a thing).

Hiplop - Meh. Hiplop lurks as scum.

Grey - This one is the weakest of my reads and there's a limit to the 'too scummy to be scum' I can handle. Especially since Tammy is a claimed cop and a godfather could exist in this game.

Kise - An enigma to me. Hasn't really given me a whole lot to go on. I was a little perturbed he took my theory on scum having a doctor this game and ran with it, but he at least included his own thoughts on the matter. Him proudly wearing the tinfoil hat to pressure Xyyxyy read a little townish to me.

I didn't take your accusation of Desp to be serious. Even if it is, I find Wraith seeing it and going 'yeah, that's totally what's happening' to be far worse.

I think if you moved Wraith, Albert, and Grey all up one spot, it would be an accurate representation of where my reads were at the time. But I was just giving my immediate thoughts. Grey should actually be above Albert now.

So Tammy looked rather scummy from my perspective considering someone claimed to blocked her and she claimed nearly unprovoked.

That's where I got Spiffeh was conftown or Tammy was scum Brian. I couldn't really explain that without claiming though... but I figured if you picked up the crumbs it would be obvious. Guess not.

I'm not a fan of Xyxyxy either, simply because he just doesn't seem to have anything other than 'Fedora is town.' His explanation of the crumb here is wholly unexpected for me coming from either alignment, so I'm really hesitant there. But wavering back and forth on his read of the doctor claim because of all the 'doctor could be scum' speculation does read a little genuine to me.

Right now, I'd be fine with any of Wraith, Hiplop, or Albert being lynched. Hiplop seems to have dropped off the face of the planet. Albert is more of a read I don't feel comfortable with, and he's slowly getting pushed further and further away from my townpile as the game goes along.

Oh well I only read your ISO and literally nothing about the game. I think what I think feels different, that would probably be similar no matter what ball and I actually didn't take that into account, was it felt like you weren't as open to give your own opinions freely, and when you did you were really detailed in a way to make your thoughts more legitimate maybe?, you didn't take initiative or feel like you were giving thoughts off the cuff, and you made more excuses there.

I'm not sure if that's what you're asking though. For a multiball play that probably kept you protected from the other side and you got to actually scum hunt which always comes across more natural.
Spoiler: For Tammy
Well, I wanted to be town that game because I hadn't played in a while, but I figured I could still at least scumhunt the other team. I didn't want to make my partner obvious, and my unfamiliarity with Multiball made it a lot harder for me to feel comfortable with any reads in general.

There were a few times I tried to take initiative. But I slipped I was a PR and died N1. ): I even tried to get my scumread lynched at the end of Day 1 but the other scumteam cut me off by ending the day on me.

The only game Dunn played with me was his Newbie where I got to replace 30+ pages in and had a hard scumread before I even caught up. I was very aggressive that game and I thought that would influence his expectations of me. He'd never seen my early play before, so I wanted to see if/how his opinion of me would change, not that I was making an excuse.

By avoiding, I meant 'off the wagon.' But I get what you're saying. I wasn't a huge fan of the Syryana accusation either, which is why I didn't keep my vote on him pre-Day 2. I also remember someone accusing Vax of something which I wasn't incredibly fond of, and it's why I moved on from him as well.

Wraith absolutely avoided the wagon, regardless of whether it's because he's town who disliked it or scum that didn't want to get caught on it.
In post 3776, Nachomamma8 wrote:I find Wraith's "I think Brian's reads suck, thus he is scum" line of attack in the linked post is pretty crappy, and I do think he probably used too many reactionary gifs, but that's a syntax point and not actually indicative of alignment. I agree with you that overall, the post is underwhelming.
The problem I have with his post is that he starts off with 'I don't understand why people are on Brian (even now)' before he moves on to scumread later on in the same paragraph. It's like, if he's scumreading me, then scumread me. But the way he did it felt disgusting and like he was posturing in case he needed to jump off.

A lot of your comments were already said by others and didn't need repeating (blending in), and the little bit of original thoughts (if you'd call it that) was buried in a way that it was unlikely most people would notice it or engage it (it is a syntax issue, but I still find it scummy). The fact Ceph even bothered to look through it and respond to you made me feel good about him (among other things).

Ceph basically told you that BPC would probably never post, so I felt that you were unnecessarily blowing it out of proportion because other players were complaining about it too.

I'm not sure I see a world where Wraith writes out that he doesn't understand why you're getting scumread (as scum), then decides he might want to vote you and adds the second bit in. I do see a world where he initially doesn't see why you're getting suspected, finds a post of yours that looks iffy and then revisits the original townread on you and decides he doesn't like it.
I don't want to talk to you about Wraith unless you're fully caught up on him.

Then I disagree with you. I think that the post was written with the intention to look like a genuine train of thought or trajectory, but I don't think it is. I think a lot of his pushes later on are predicated on misunderstandings (his push on Tammy for being a voteblocker), opportunism (his sudden push on Vax as he was getting run up), or plain wtfness (see his vote on the Hocho wagon). I also don't like him causing chaos with the flavor of the scumteam (which can easily be faked), but a lot of people seem to have been having issues with that, but whatever.

I assumed no one would be stupid enough to lolhammer after the first debacle.

But considering how violently LRF has reacted to a post where I wasn't actually intending to throw shade on their unvote...

It's "interesting" to say the least
I'm also not really buying his reason for being okay with a L-1 wagon on Vax. I kinda feel like he wanted that wagon to go through. Also his mention of LRF here with a complete lack of a conclusion is just...?

In post 3829, Nachomamma8 wrote:I think that a big part of why I'm townreading him to the degree I am has to do with his conviction around the Majiffy lynch and how he handles the push itself. I think that the way he handles his reads on Brian Skies and Majiffy is weird with the vote manipulator sequence (my top suspect is now Majiffy because Brian's vote got manipulated onto Fedora, now my top suspect is Brian because he got to choose, now my top suspect is Majiffy again!)
The way he treated his read on me felt a little weird, although it's probably because I'm unsure whether he was changing his read based on me having my vote pinned or having it pinned to Fedora (and I wasn't liking Fedora's interactions around him up to that point, specifically because I came out with suspicion on Wraith and Ali instantly called my vote garbage).
In post 3829, Nachomamma8 wrote:but the way that the "Tammy is vote manipulator" sequence unfolded seems pretty genuine to me as far as being lost goes.
Yeah, I was fine with this and even asked him his thoughts on Tammy being a vote manipulator (even though I knew that wasn't what she was claiming). I don't know why scum can't be confused about it, especially if the vote manipulator isn't theirs.
In post 3829, Nachomamma8 wrote:This isn't the only example of course, but I think that Wraith's paranoia on Tammy seems pretty genuine and I like how he keeps coming back to it. The initial push very easily could have been scum trying to fit in with the anti-Tammy mood in the thread at the time, but the followups with the Mexican/Blacks fiasco, the "she's soft spoken!" comment, thinking that her role is too vanilla to fit in with an absurd setup, etc. etc. etc.; the fact that he keeps coming up with things to add to his paranoid theory (that he doesn't really have motivation to push) is what makes me town him without the reservations I have for the pushes that seem to drag on and on but never really evolves.
Idk. I feel like that's a really shallow argument to make (and I think some of the others even used it as a reason to suspect Tammy). And the flavor stuff is something I can see scum making to try and drop a fake towntell (so I don't want to use that as a marker for anyone being town).

If there's an argument I liked him making, it was his reason for voting Majiffy (which I skipped because I didn't want to read all those words and some of his arguments didn't make sense to me in a way I could parse at the time). I'm fine with the accusation of Majiffy not doing anything up until that point. But pretty much everything else is ???. Why can't Majiffy have pushed Spiffeh when someone claimed to have saved Spiffeh and a PGO died? I feel like the game was going quick enough at the time that Majiffy may have missed the Desp claim. The enabler thing from Majiffy is weird, but if Majiffy was a scum enabler, he probably would have told his team everything anyway unless he was a traitor. Wraith even explains some of his accusations could be due to the chaos in the game in that post, but leaves them there because...? Probably to add more stuff to his argument and make it seem more legit. But I feel like if he were trying to think critically about the situation, he wouldn't keep it in there? Idk.

If the scumteam have a loud modifying role, Pine could be lying about his role and trying to skate to the end game on an ascetic supersaint claim.

I still don't like this post. And I'm going to leave it on a nice easy to remember page number.

Alright Nacho. I probably won't be anywhere near my fully finished reread either.

That game reminds me. Titus is fully capable of completely oddball plays to confirm scummates as town (I don't remember what the play was, I just remember they did one).

How I managed to give a topping to only townies that game, I'll never understand.

I believe in a world where it's possible both Fedora and Pine could be scum together. And if Hocho is scum, then it could be indicative of both his and Desp's alignment.

Yeah, I'm around. But I'm jumping between my catchup and here.

Hiplop lurked hardcore in Graveyard Shift mafia and hid behind his neighborhood with Reck. His town play is uninspiring and sets himself up as an easy mislynch. Hiplop is more of a compromise lynch at best for me right now.

How Titus was kinda throwing shade on her hydra partner in multiple posts. Something like "yeah I told Alisae not to crumb but he did it against my will" and stuff along those lines.

Interestingly enough, Titus crumbed first. Not sure what to make of it considering Titus told me it wasn't her style. :?:

Also, Watcher shouldn't be on Desp. If Desp dies tonight, we can just insta-lynch Hocho.
