Pin has masterfully stewed a vichyssoise of town emotions with a soupçon of casual genuineness that simply cannot be store bought.

I liked his predecessor's opening. I like that my predecessor liked his slot. I like his like of my predecessor because I liked my predecessor prior to replacing in. If he's scum, he's managing to blow what should be a fairly easy day 1 for scum. That's not consistent with how many games he has under his belt. Nothing in his iso strikes me as outside of the normal range for town. It's a day 1 read, but he's not the lynch today, lol, get real

i was starting to resort urist as town for how he was so focused on FC with little to no support (seems like the kind of anti-town thing more likely to come from town than self conscious scum)
but then he switched his focus back to pin, somewhat negating that read

I'm leaning town on Duck. He feels like he's trying to play a by-the-book town style likely due to his being IC, and that's adding noise to the signal, but im not seeing the scum motivation

I don't remember why exactly, but FC over the last few pages continued to feel townie

im pretty confident there is at least one in Vor/Cheeky. I'm also pretty confident there is one in Vor/Urist.

TBH, I don't know where i fall on jumble. As you were all witness to, i went back and forth on whether or not jumble's distress at being voted could come from scum. I think it probably could. People are smarter than I often give them credit for being.

That leaves a lynch pool today of Cheeky, Vor, Urist, and Jumble

I read this question as follows:
Given that I am lynched and given that cheeky is a wolf, is vork a wolf as well?

Cheeky has thrown shade at all, or nearly all players in this game, but prior to my entrance the majority of her efforts were directed at vork. Despite this, she never seriously pushed for his lynch. That could be because of how the game flowed, and maybe there was never a good opportunity, or a host of other unrelated reasons. Could it be that she was distancing herself from her partner, but didn't want to really bus him? That's definitely possible.

However, I think the simplest answer is that in this scenario scum!cheeky didn't think that she could push vork's mislynch through and was afraid of over committing on a push.


Outside of this hypothetical, I still think there is a high chance of 1 scum within cheeky/vor, and my money is on cheeky.

A vork flip would be good for my read on you. I'm not sure what I would get out of an Urist flip in either direction, information wise. Generally, I don't think lynching for information is a good way to go on D1. Everything is so muddled that it's best to go for the scummiest person, or the scummiest person you can get consensus on. This sums up where I'm at. The intensity and method by which vork is defending urist doesn't fit the situation. Calling teams this early is dumb, but I spoke too soon earlier when I said a urist flip wouldn't give much in the way of info. A red flip would implicate vork pretty heavily, I think.

I'm not particularly interested in defending myself, and your reasons for why I'm scum (which are incorrect by definition) won't help me solve the game. Your reasons to scum read FC are far more valuable to me. Did you have any other reasons to scumread him?

I'm not going to pull the IC card the same way I'm grateful nobody in this game is pulling the newbie card, but I am going to remind candidly: I am not allowed to mechanically scumside and then yell that what I'm doing is mechanically redeemable without a pretty detailed explanation post-game. The explanation is in the thread. If you think I'm scum, you're going to need to go a step deeper than your disagreement with me on d1 claim mechanics.

Vork, you don't have to like it but I think you should accept The Worst's reasoning. My understanding is that it is a pretty big faux pas for an IC to lie about mechanics and the strats surrounding them. You don't have to agree that his play with townie, but you should give him the benefit of the doubt that he thinks it was townie. If the duck is scum, you should find another reason to scum read him, imo.

Urist vs. Yyotta are pretty much the same as Yyotta vs. EVERYONE and Yyotta vs. NOBODY. Nothing out of the ordinary barring weird nose bopping.

Urist vs. FC. No. Just. No. Alcohol induced hyper tunneling on one side, skeptical response, followed by deescalation and '2scum4scum', followed by re escalation, followed by wagoning on the other.

Also! scum!Yyotta's (non-)play could be a factor in scum!Urist throwing in the towel when she/he was an L-1 wagon. If it's your first game, your team-mate totally sucks, and you're about to get hammered, maybe you just ragequit.

I've only skimmed your above post, but this all looks like good work. I can't wait to dive into it when I have more time in a few hours.

and as good as my d2 game was, my d1 was shaky. I was trying to be a little scummy so that I wouldn't have to worry about eating a night kill. But I nearly flew too close to the sun. Pin thought about giving intent to hammer at one point, which would have forced my claim. Later, duck asked me to claim. I needed to project town just a little bit more
