Don't talk about that just yet.

Before I answer that question, why is suddently everyone so interested in what I do and what I like/dislike? I don't mind making my thought process transparent because I expect that from others to a degree, but I feel like if I reveal literally everything about the way I play then that would blur any genuine reactions I might elicit from people later on because they would know what to expect and what I'm looking for.

Okay, now to answer you: because RVS is random and jocular, and it's super easy to find an excuse for doing something during that stage. This is why I always try to end it fast and start placing serious votes. The longer RVS goes on the more difficult it is for me to get early reads.
I have a friend who doesn't like to do RVS, and he instead does more novel openings, like RQS or a buddy system.
So why do things you don't like when there are other options?

Explain why it's awful and why that makes me scum. It blows my mind how often people use reasons like theirs on page 3 of a game.
I've page 1'd scum before. This is not a good defense from you.
You got lucky.

I'll vote when I'm ready. I'm ready now. Tell me why the lack of vote is scummy too. Why do scum point out scummy things and not vote?

Reason?
MiniDeathStar's play is too Team Leader. The way she was sheeped is too. By you and Fountain.

With you, there's the sheeping. Then there's asking Spade to get a display pic. I suppose that means an avatar. Now if Spade hasn't posted in the game yet, then the only way you'd see his posts and lack of avatar would be in the Scum PT, right?

Fountain throws Spade's name in for a split second, then sheeps Mini. I'll have to look through the Role Madness to see why Transcend hates me so much... found it - it's because I know how to play Wake non-bastard games. Someone got mad because as a Mason I called out the bad "Backup IC" claim. So his rage at me isn't exactly warranted.

Add Spade in as Scum too, Alban knows he doesn't have an avatar even though Spade hasn't posted here yet. Can only happen in a Scum PT, kids.
Don't be patronising please.
Heard of parsimony?
Rando's pm to us - informing about the beginning of the game - includes links to all our profiles. Surely, you received one? I checked everyone's profile and found Spade as the only one who doesn't have an avatar. Also noticed that he is a newbie here. So, thought of suggesting him to get one.
About sheeping, that was done to create a wagon in order to pressurise one of the players to start talking and read them better. Should have been obvious.
WHY THE HELL DID YOU DO THAT?

Good night.
Not helping yourself at all: that was my first thought, then I realized "town wouldn't care that much: scum would like to understand their buddies and enemies."

They get whatever time they have before enough confirm to start the game.

What I realised is this is what probably happened. One head voted for me and the other head voted for gamma. The second head then saw the other vote and modified his comment with a PEDIT
Also: they'd already voted Spade

WHAT?????? Are you trying to say Gamma is a hydra?
There are many things you could ask about this post. I'm really trying to figure why the hydra thing is what you chose to be solely baffled about.

Other things you could have asked about which I will.

@charloux, why don't you explain, what does personality analysis have to do with a read? If you're implying that he's only acting surprised, then you must have a reason for this, like a solid read. Why do you think he's acting surprised? Why don't you comment on 331? Why make post in the first place if you're unwilling to comment on it? Because it makes no points otherwise. Why won't you put a read on gamma? Personality analysis is not an excuse. You seem to have some sort of inside information, and yet you refuse to share it. Is there any possible way gamma is town, and only acting surprised? And somehow you know it? I doubt it. Highly doubt it. Which means you must both know something together.

VOTE: Charloux

I'll vote there, Gamma, space, or fountain slot. My money right now is in gamma Charloux and space.

Spade, how do you read that, and only come away with answering about a hydra?
Words cannot express what I feel about this post. Oh wait:
IT'S STUPID!
Just because Charloux seems to have inside information on my slot means I'M SCUM?

I'm kind of running low on town credit in certain circles, so I'd like ten town dollars please.

Seriously though, why was that town? I could easily be scum steering the lynch away from my partner?

@Klingon:
I think I'm done talking to you. Sorry for being rude, I didn't mean to insult you, this game is making me tense sometimes. I just don't think there's anything productive coming out of our argument anymore so I'd like to stop. Vote whoever you want, just don't expect me to agree with your reads.

@Charloux:
You still didn't explain why you thought one of you would die soon? And I get not wanting to read a hydra (Gamma isn't a hydra btw, Fountain is), but why would you not want to "associate" with him? And how is giving a read "associating"? Sorry for asking so many questions but your post was really perplexing.
The hypocrisy here reeks

It's like you guys want to scum read each other but not too much. It's very empty. All your reads are very empty. You've voted for Charloux, but never made any case. He calls your read on him fake, but refuses to make a read on you.

Why do you think he left only you off his readslist? That included everyone else? You had previously voted him, so I would imagine you'd be looking at his posts with scrutiny, and yet you don't even bother questioning why he left you off the readslist. Otherwise, what was with the empty threat in 139? About not being done with charizard

Don't you think it's weird he's giving you points for acting surprised? Also, why are you only concerned with me thinking you're scum with him?

Charloux and gamma for sure. I'm thinking spade and maybe gamma was bussing fountain earlier. Can't decide.

Please can 1 or 2 of you guys iso gamma and Charloux and tell me how genuine that is? Preferably not their partner please, someone from the town

A partnership between Spade and FOD

So one has to be town (unless this can have an SK like C9++)
What sort of BS logic is this? You think am a scum cos you suspect a partnership between me and FoD??? Has FoD been revealed to be a scum for you to make a 'guilty by association' statement. Regarding FoD, I wrote what came to my mind. You might feel those statements lack merit but those are the thoughts I had. If you have any actual scumreads on me, do let me know.
You told a blatant lie about FOD's actions. More in my next post.

L-3.
Spade says a head was posting post 3 and changed their mind. Let's think how this would work.
Head 1, head 2, head 1 suggests that head 1 doublevoted. Not possible.
1, 2, 2 makes more sense, with head 2 changing back.
However, Transcend said Tenshii hadn't posted by then.

Nice, empty threat, all for show. What was the point?
If you didn't know the point, why did you join the wagon???
Cause I want gamma dead. Maybe you should be asking, if gamma didn't know the point, why did he start it? It was all for show. Scum like to vote themselves to show people they aren't concerned about dying. It's an act
I wanted to see not just who would vote but how people reacted.
Creature's reaction was not towny-feeling to me. Felt like he was trying to preempt the situation.

I don't think the scum team has daytalk.
Doesn't matter. Usually they get a few hours in the PT to say hi.
They get whatever time they have before enough confirm to start the game.
You say that with such certainty.

Truth is, it depends on the mod... but you seem informed.
I've played scum before, got the ability to chat pregame even when daychat was not allowed.

I'm just fine on context. The only one talking about 100% of the blame is you.

Just because it comes out of your mouth doesn't mean it originated from
her
head.

Now who's the one struggling with context?
Since this became a thing, I just want to clarify what I meant by credit. Klingon has been scumreading Fountain since page 1, for absolutely terrible reasons, but she's 100% sure she's nailed the scum team. I was saying that even if Fountain/Ted turned out to be scum, Klingon shouldn't credit herself with amazing scumhunting, since she couldn't have known for sure that early and for that reason. It would just be pure luck.

Basically I was just trying to avoid letting her boost her own ego for that lynch if it turned out to be correct.

When it takes 7 to lynch, I wouldn't 100% blame a mislynch on one single person.
My ego doesn't boost. Something something shit player Day1 something...
Yeah sure

Spade scummy based on Alban's story change
Lane possible Charloux buddyMy scumreads are by strength:

Independent town reads (for now):
Klingon: like some of his logic
SAJ: that consideration of replacing out due to a game slip seems towny, in response to TT it does not seem strategic, because only tiger moth was pressuring him at that point.

Spade had already explained it long back, Gamma.

The apparent change in my posts was only because I was not sure whether Spade (and Bang) would be okay in me divulging any information regarding knowing them. They are new to the forum, so I left it to their discretion whether they want to divulge that info. Once Spade introduced himself, it was clear that he is fine with it.

About the change in my posts pre- and post Spade's disclosure: I did not change my version. What I did was I didn't tell the complete truth about knowing him from before. Moreover, knowing him doesn't mean that I was keeping frequent tabs on his activity on the site. I did it twice - once when I saw his profile in the Central park signups thread, and then the next time after receiving Rando's message about gamestart. I clicked on everyone's profiles, and that's when I realised he is still without an avatar. Once the game started, there was no way of telling him without violating game rules, so I messaged him in the game thread. I am surprised you think that scum!me will slip in such an amateurish matter. Even if he was scum and I was his partner and I had to urgently contact him, why will I talk to him about a non-issue like having an avatar? It's the most ridiculous theory anyone could come up with. Last game it was saying 'RVS' and now this.
That fixes things. Spade is leantown now.

The theory (Gamma's theory) is that outing softclaims helps town because scum are actively hunting for them and have likely seen them already.

I actually kind of agree with it, but I wanted to remind Gamma of his own standard of townplay and maybe nudge him to reread carefully.
I wrote that because someone had posted a soft in bold and a townie didn't state that and the PR got lynched.
If it's not super-obvious don't say it.

That's disingenuous. Alan's words are not indicative of Spade's role... certainly not without a flip.

Do you not have that slight feeling by taking peoples word, that you could potentially be taking scums word for something like that?
Even if he is scum I'm noy going to press a point that is adequately explained.
Him saying he was being respectful to his friends explained it fine even if Alban is scum.

Dont take people's words for things, it makes you look suspicious. I know his explaination cleared something up concerning the start of the game but i made a case against Spade containing different reasoning. The following is all from my perspective. i scumread Spade and you saying Spade is a townlean after the alban post was cleared up looks hinky to me. Thank god. I thought people would notice it long back. Realise it is against the spirt of the game. Sorry.
And what would a scum soft claim? As scum??

By the way, I remember someone put another viewpoint against Gamma's advice that soft claims are good. Softclaiming or announcing that you noticed a softclaim can be beneficial to scum. I am a bit confused so want to know what people feel.
Some PR probably, to give credence to a claim
and it's called crumbing when you leave hints to go back and use
